Winter TV Finales - Superman & Lois - Season Two

Superman & Lois has just concluded it's very poorly scheduled second season. During which, Superman's painful visions lead him to an encounter with Bizarro while also butting heads with Lt. General Mitch Anderson.

In the land of Lois, she deals with the Inverse Method cult led by Ally Allston who swayed Lucy Lane to her side and has made an enemy of Bizarro for her supposed conquering of his world.

Superman & Lois was renewed for a third season, due to air mid season, next TV season in the United States, commencing September, 2022. So realistically like seasons one and two, a Jan or Feb launch is highly likely.

Here is a recap of this week's rather hectic finale.

Chrissy urges everyone to be with their families. People are randomly being transported between worlds, and Lois is eventually separated from everyone else. She finds Sam, Kyle, and the Inverse Chrissy, but they're all transported back without her. Natalie re-establishes contact with John and brings his escape pod to the space between worlds.

They transfer their suits' power to it and use it to destroy the portals. Tal-Rho returns and flies Superman into the sun, restoring and supercharging his powers. His power is too great for Ally to handle, causing her to split back into two. Superman rescues John and Natalie and separates the two worlds. At a celebration, Clark and Lana reconcile, Sarah and Jordan rekindle their relationship, Lois tells Chrissy that Clark is Superman, and Lana tells Kyle that their relationship won't be the same again.

Both Ally’s are imprisoned at the DOD, and they admit to Lois that they didn’t feel complete. John Diggle visits Irons, wanting to know why Bruno Mannheim killed this Earth's Irons. Tal-Rho buys trucks for Jonathan and Jordan and moves to the Inverse Smallville while Lucy moves to Metropolis. Clark creates a new Fortress in the ocean for his family.

Superman & Lois really is (along with Walker) is the gem in The CW's roster. With their sale on the horizon, who knows how much longer these DC series will be around for. Already Batwoman and Legend of Tomorrow are already dead and buried.

The scheduling this season of Superman & Lois really was the downside of the run. Like let's be real, 3 episodes in Jan, 2 in Feb, 4 in March, 1 in April, 2 in May and finally 3 in June. Like really, one in all of April.

Let's hope next season has some better scheduling planned out.

The CW really has a much slimmer roster after cancelling many of its failing series next TV season. Let's see if Superman & Lois is still the jewel in the crown next year. Tomorrow a look at the awful eighth season of The Flash.
