Ray Donovan Season 5.

What happens when a show returns but one of the main cast doesn't? Unexplained death during a break of the show is sometimes weird, and when flashbacks try and piece together what we have missed you loose a sense of set up for the season ahead.

Season 5 of Ray Donovan I read is rumoured to be the last and without a main character and a show running on borrowed time I would not be surprised if this Showtime series did call it a day at the end of this season.

Susan Sarandon fresh from Ryan Murphy's Feud joins the cast as one of this seasons special guests. The show has had a large revolving door of recurring guests and Ray's problem solving has taken a back seat in recent seasons.

It has been interesting watching the two kids grow up in front of our eyes but where will their story and Ray's end?

Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed the performances in this past seasons however I think this show is coming to a natural end. With an appropriate song used for the flashbacks and the start of the season Mazzy Star's Fade into You is what we might see Ray Donovan fade off into the Golden Era of TV.
