Upright | Season One

I have never been a huge fan of Tim Minchin, however in this Foxtel drama playing Lucky Flynn, Minchin is rather enjoyable. Heather Mitchell as his mother is heavenly whilst Milly Alcock as Meg, what a great new talent!

Screening/streaming now on Foxtel's Showcase channel or on one of their platforms the show also airs on Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom. Nice for the UK to see another side of Australia.

Upright follows the story of two misfits, Lucky and Meg, who are thrown together by chance in the middle of the Australian desert.

The eight part series is written by Chris Taylor from the Chaser with each episode being less than 30 minutes. Perfect summer viewing.

With a talented cast and creative team, Upright is the perfect way for Australian drama to conclude in 2019.

It's been a big year for Aussie drama with Foxtel and ABC again leading the way. Foxtel have done very well with Lambs of God, Secret City : Under the Eagle, Wentworth, Mr Inbetween (FX co-production) and now Upright concluding a great year.

Heres to more Australian drama in 2020.
