Scorchin' Summer Streamin' 26 - School Spirits - Season Three

School Spirits is one of the only non Taylor Sheridan series on Paramount+. But will they keep it around for a fourth season? Particularly now that apparently HBO Max will be merging into Paramount+. Which is good for subscribers like me! Maybe even Channel Ten too!

The series, adapted from the graphic novel by the Trinruds and Maria Nguyen, stars Peyton List, Kristian Ventura, Milo Manheim, and Spencer MacPherson. The first three episodes of the third season, premiered late January. With the season concluding midweek.

This season, Maddie Nears and her friends dive into a deeper, darker mystery as the veil between worlds grows dangerously thin, delivering twists that challenge everything they thought they knew. After clawing her way back to life, Maddie struggles with terrifying visions and the weight of protecting both the living and the dead while Simon –  trapped in the afterlife – becomes obsessed with the secrets buried in Split River High’s scars. 

Why have so many people died at Split River High? What was Mr. Martin warning them about? As they search for answers, new dangers and dark secrets begin to surface.

Honestly I don't think this series is aimed at me. I kind of thought the show had run out of ideas last season. This season for me felt like they were flogging a dead horse. However at the end of the season they did leave it (very) open for a possible fourth season.

However (to date) there is no news on a fourth season.

This season went Chucky mad too, introducing Jennifer Tilly as Deborah Hunter-Price. So random and a little trashy.

Paramount+ will soon be getting series like Heated Rivalry and The White Lotus. This is surely the time to jump into an annual subscription before they jack up the prices.
