Star City - Lyric Theatre - NOW PLAYING!
Well my 1000th time to see this Australian masterpiece, was great, my three friends loved it, however the second act felt very tired!
Todd McKenney was missing in action! No surprise really, I was going to check Sydney's gay sex venues or beats, but you know I decided against facing a possible drug charge.
Bill Hunter was another new addition to this production and he was quiet enjoyable however I don't know whether he was pissed or not?
Overall this is a feel good show and definitely a nice way to bring in the weekend, Priscilla rates 3 and half stars.

Melbourne Cup 2008
Melbourne Cup 2008 @ the Taronga Centre
Well I usually don't like Melbourne Cup but I can handle having a nice feed of Salmon, dessert and great company and not to mention the view to die for from the Taronga Centre.
This has to be my best ever Melbourne Cup and one I will remember, however I can't even think which horse won!

Killer Joe
My first time at the terrific downstairs theatre at Belvoir St and what a great show!
This had all the ingredients for a terrific performance!
The idea of the show was a redneck family set in a Texas trailer park. The family members decide to kill the mother of the two kids, both are fantastic!
The story goes from bad to worse, as whenever people think they can murder people and get away with it.
The acting was great, the set was terrific and being so close you really thought you were another trailer park whore.
Killer Joe rates a killer 4 and a half stars.

Film Freak: Body of Lies
Could almost be renamed to much ado about nothing!
The plot was shaky at the best of times and Russel Crowe just looked like a beached whale (how does Danielle Spencer sleep with that every night!) and Leo was great just didn't know what he was going on about most of the time.
Basically "Body of Lies" is another war film (a long war film) and really has no point or message to get across.
Body of Lies rates a confusing and rather bizarre 2 stars.

NIDA - Third Year Showcase
Boy geez does NIDA have some talent this year, one of the third year students is already the lead in Yibiyung (which has transferred from Sydney to Melbourne).
The showcase even featured two fellas doing their best at a piece from the Pillowman.
Watch this space some of these young actors may even be in the next Australia film!
