(Not at the) Cinema Slut #2019 - Wine Country

Ok I usually, like 90% of the time avoid Netflix movies, after Wine Country I know why. On paper directed by Amy Poehler, directorial debut, starring Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Emily Spivey, Jason Schwartzman and Tina Fey sounds Ok right, no.

Like Poms it focuses on ageing, fuck that topic. After Bridesmaids, Sisters, Spy and other recent female lead comedies, this is not on Bridesmaids level. Actually it's on straight for streaming level.



Released for streaming on May 10, 2019, by Netflix, this is an easy forgettable film. As it's at the end of the US TV season for 2018-2019 (almost) I have some spare time on my dance card, so I have given a few Netflix produced films a go. Stay tuned for more reviews.

Sometimes it's good just to watch something brief, easy going without a high level of investment in a 13 times 1 hour episode series.

Wine Country, is something to be avoided unless you really have nothing else to watch. 2 Stars, mainly for the potential it had to be funny.
