May/June La Première - Stargirl (Season One)

DC Universe launched yet another Arrowverse series this week, Stargirl. The show also features on The CW, where Stargirl popped up first in a mini-crossover  during the very busy "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

The series follows high school student Courtney Whitmore, portrayed by Brec Bassinger, as the lead Stargirl.

Unlike bloated other The CW Arrowverse series Stargirl will consist of 13 episodes. The first episode slayed in live ratings.

Over 1.2 million viewers, live, wow!



This pilot was actually awesome. Joining Brec Bassinger is Luke Wilson and Amy Smart as her parents.

I actually enjoyed the first episode a lot. The effects are nowhere near as cheap as other The CW shows, Bassinger is kick ass and can I bang on about only 13 episodes!

Stargirl could be a Spring/Summer hit on The CW and a look at where they will be next TV season. Holding series like Dynasty, Supergirl and more to midseason. They may have a strong line up next TV season.

So give this one a go, we may be winding down on new content so thankfully this was filmed pre-COVID production shutdown.
