Ethan Snorek AKA Whethan (formerly Wheathin), is today's (Mini) Monday Spotlight. We are now closing in to the final edition for 2020. So this week it's time to focus on the American DJ/music producer from Chicago.
Whethan considers his main main influence to be your local boy (Australians) Flume. He also frequently collaborates with Oliver Tree. I heard on a recent interview the two even live together.
The duo have released singles titled "All You Ever Talk About", "When I'm Down", "Enemy","Do You Feel Me?" and "Freefall".
Whethan has performed at SXSW music festival whilst touring with trap Flosstradamus in November alongside fellow DJs Slushii, Towkio, & Gent & Jawns.
Whethan also worked with Dua Lipa oon a track for the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. He has also worked with/remixed the likes of Broods, Charli XCX, Honne, Jeremih, K.Flay, Wafia and Travis Scott. That's not all there are heaps more. The 21 year old is on fire!
So if you have not got your ears around Whethan's genre bending work yet, do it! He is 100% one to watch in 2021 and beyond. Next week another (Mini) Monday Spotlight before we head into the real heat of Summer 2020/2021. Although today was smokin' in Sydney!
