RFDS: Royal Flying Doctor Service has concluded its emotional second series. With Channel Seven to present its plan for 2024 in the next few weeks, here is hoping for a third season of this fine Aussie drama.
Centring around the lives of workers for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. We had a long break between seasons with the first season wrapping late September 2021, with this season commencing late August this year.
RFDS follows the lives of doctors, nurses, pilots and support staff living and working in the outback. All of your favourite characters are returning for season two, along with a couple of new cast members who are set to shake things up in beautiful Broken Hill.
With an all star cast including Justine Clarke, the exceptional Rob Collins and mr everywhere Stephen Peacocke as Nurse Pete Emerson. Collins had a particularly standout season.
With the Voice to Parliament vote now days away, RFDS did its best to tell some great First Nations stories.
Something usually not seen on free to air TV, RFDS really stepped up in the second half of this season.
Episode one and two really took a bit to get into, however from episode three it was a really decent second season. With the eighth episode really leaving the door wide open for the stories to continue coming outta Broken Hill, NSW.
It might not be perfect, it is not the best Aussie drama of 2023, however it really had heart this season. Well done to all involved.
Great job!
