He Had It Coming ends on one hell of a cliffhanger! Just when I thought the latest Stan Original (released last Thursday) was heading into miniseries territory, episode eight dropped a bomb at the end of the episode!
He Had It Coming, starts after their feminist art project is co-opted by a killer, two college women must form an unlikely alliance and track down the culprit.
Starring Liv Hewson, Lydia West, Natasha Lui Bordizzo, with Duncan Fellows, Roxie Mohebbi, Tom Dawson, Alex Champion de Crespigny, and Miah Madden.
This was a damn fine little local series filmed, possibly in Parramatta.
With great tunes and an underlying mystery the entire run, He Had It Coming was a refreshing return to quality drama on Stan, following the slightly disappointing Watching You.
With Sunny Nights and Dear Life to come, Stan has a fairly packed local summer schedule. Not to mention a Bump Christmas movie for good measure this Sunday.
Stan is the last remaining, all local streaming service down under.
Whilst they have been lazy announcing the future of Black Snow, Ten Pound Poms, Scrublands and Wolf Like Me. They still are churning out some damn fine content.
He Had It Coming felt fresh, fun and aimed at a younger audience. This to me was well done, quality, local content. Good job all. Great song selections too!
