Scorchin' Summer Streamin' 25 - Return to Paradise - Season Two

Detective Sergeant Mackenzie Clarke (Anna Samson) should be back in the UK, living the life she always dreamed of.

But one confession changed everything. When her ex-fiancée Glenn admitted he might still love her, Mack couldn’t walk away.

Now she’s stuck in Dolphin Cove — torn between risking her heart and revealing what she overheard.

Luckily for Mack, there’s no shortage of distractions. Her obsession with cracking the toughest cases keeps her busy, and in Dolphin Cove, murder is never far away.

Yep, Return to Paradise landed again on ABC iview and ABC TV this time last week.

Since then I have stream all six new episodes of this Australian-British crime/comedy/drama series.

This is the second spin-off series of long-running crime series Death in Paradise. Alongside Samson, the local version of this series stars some local favourites. Andrea Demetriades, Tai Hara, Catherine McClements, Celia Ireland and cutie Aaron L. McGrath. UK star, Lloyd Griffith also stars as Detective Senior Constable Colin Cartwright.

Just in the first two episodes (episode two filmed at local Anita's Theatre airs tonight) the guest star list is damn impressive these season.

Danielle Cormack (Shortland Street, Wentworth Prison), Michelle Lim Davidson (The Newsreader, Utopia), Damian Walshe-Howling (Janet King, Last King of the Cross) all star in episode one. Whilst episode two is lead by You Am I's Tim Rogers, with Justine Clarke (Home and Away) and Zoe Carides (Death in Brunswick).

Sadly the ABC announced their 2026 programming on Thursday. No existing shows were renewed or cancelled. Just new ones announced. 

This was by far the most promising announcement of programming for 2026 from any of the free to air networks or even Binge/Foxtel.

Let's hope ABC and maybe the soon to be sued BBC brings this delightful mystery series back for a third. This is ABC winning formula through and through!
