Scorchin' Summer Streamin' 25 - Talamasca: The Secret Order - Season One

Stan has taken on the third of Anne Rice's Immortal Universe. Talamasca: The Secret Order from the shared universe based on Rice's novels, which started in 2022 with Interview with the Vampire. Which (along with Mayfair Witches) streams on ABC iView.

Talamasca: The Secret Order stars Nicholas Denton as Guy Anatole, William Fichtner as Jasper, Elizabeth McGovern as Helen, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Olive, Céline Buckens as Doris & Jason Schwartzman guest starring as the "rakish vampire" Burton.

So it started its six episode first season strong, however the conclusion on Monday left me feeling a little flat. It just didn't have the same energy as Interview with the Vampire. It was more like a second rate spin-off series, similar to Mayfair Witches, which has always felt the less superior series of the Immortal Universe.

Stan has done well with summer content. Bel-Air commencing yesterday for a three week express final season. Power Book IV: Force is now in its final season with Spartacus: House of Ashur, the return of the Spartacus franchise early next month.

Back to Talamasca: The Secret Order, this is one of those shows I'd only recommend if you have caught up on everything else. Savage I know!
