Binged 2021 - Little Birds

What the hell did I just watch! LOL

I put this on my Stan watchlist last lockdown. Now in week 12 or 13 I am going through my Stan watchlist. Little Birds is a series starring Juno Temple and Hugh Skinner along with hunky Raphael Acloque for some added eye candy.

Released back on 4 August 2020, inspired by Anaïs Nin's posthumously published 1979 collection of erotic short stories, Little Birds. The six part series weaves stories of love and desire together with personal drama and political intrigue, set against a uniquely distinctive backdrop of hedonism and conflict.

Little Birds is set in Tangier in 1955, in the famous ‘international zone’ – one of the last outposts of colonial decadence, and a culture shock in more ways than one for troubled American debutante Lucy Savage (Juno Temple). Lucy desires an unconventional life free from the societal cage she's been kept in and, along with Tangier itself, finds herself on the cusp of achieving a painful yet necessary independence.

To be honest the series was a really easy watch to have on in the background. It's not as erotic as one is lead to believe. There is limited sexy scenes while the story does tend to go a little all over the shop.

Look with October being jam packed with new and returning titles coming unless you are super bored give this a go.

Currently screening that is more interesting than Little Birds -

Wentworth - Foxtel
RFDS - Channel Seven (season/most likely series finale this week)
Billions - Stan
Power Book III - Stan
Heels - Stan
American Horror Story: Double Feature - Binge
American Crime Story: Impeachment - Binge
Nine Perfect Strangers - Amazon (mini-series finale this week)
Reservation Dogs - Binge (season finale this week, already renewed for a third season)

That's just a few highlights. Sorry Little Birds, with so much choice out there, this just doesn't cut the mustard.
