Stomp 09 - Theatre Royal, Sydney

OMG so every review today starts with OMG!

I have little expectations with this show but was seriously surprised at how fab it was! The dancing was great, the choreography was simply amazing and the crowd just literally lapped it up BIG time!

I was completely entertained for the full hour 40 minutes of this show, and the men, well it didn't hurt that they were delicious!

Stomp rates a non garbage 4 stars!

Jerry Springer the Opera

OMG so there is a heap of hype for this production and staring one of Australia's most loved actors David Wenham (he was in Australia but don't hold that against him).

Now this show begins as the show usually does on the Telly however people come in singing in lovely opera voices.

Now don't get me wrong but Nathan from Hi-5 playing some trailer trash studio audience member really didn't work for me.

The second act took a weird turn to hell (literally) and kind of lost me with all the religious rambles.

There is also a huge language warning with this production which kinda wears thin around 10 minutes in.

The show had funny moments but definitely not as many as I was expecting, the show itself was at times very odd and I often sat there thinking what the hell was going on when someone thought hey Jerry Springer, there is a good idea for a musical?

The show rates a trashy 2 stars.

Showqueen - Amy Housewine Edition

OMG this girl is a genius, god I love her! An Amy Winehouse impersonation and not by a drag queen but a talented fab performer named Lisa Adam.

She spun a new twist on the cover of the Zuton's hit "Valerie" titled "Valium".

The whole show was terrific with this great character created by Adams and really making the entire audience beg for more.

Shame about the real Amy who only has two albums to date so not a huge back catalogue to go over.

This was top notch entertainment, keep an eye out for this treat!

Film Freak - The Uninvited

Another American horror remake from the Asian persuasion.

This film stars excellent up and coming Aussie actress Emily Browning and the creepy Elizabeth Banks.

The film is good however the final twist makes the whole thing worth while as mid way through you begin to wonder what the hell you are watching.

Don't get me wrong this film has a lot going for it, however you really do wonder what some of the creepy creatures during the film are all about.

It is however well worth taking a look at over this dull school holidays movie period, think 17 Again and Pink Panther 2 EHHHHHHH

The Uninvited rates an inviting 3 stars.

Film Freak - Two Hearts One Fist

The film follows Anthony Argo, an Italian Australian boxer who is pushed by his Sicilian father and trainer to attain success in the ring. However, when he meets Kate, a girl from the other side of the tracks, he begins to see the violence of boxing differently and turns his back on his father's dreams to be with her. However, when one his father's students turns his back on him, Anthony begins to train harder than ever for the biggest fight of his life.

Now this movie features some very sexy men getting into a little boxing action and just being down right sexy.

About from waking up with sticky nickers the next morning after watching this film, it is actually a good movie and not a complete perv fest!
