Winter Binged 2022 - Bling Empire - Season Two

Bling Empire is back for season two. I got sucked in AGAIN!

Netflix renewed the series for a second season which premiered on May 13, 2022. I never thought it would get a second season, then the way this one ended, it leaves it open for a third! Oh hell no! No offical word yet, but I reckon a third could be ordered.

Kevin Taejin Kreider the male model returns in his undies, shirtless, lusting after Kim Lee (DJ/former model) who towards the season closer asks him to take a lie detector test LOL.

Kane Lim however is especially annoying this season. His bitchy behaviour, his awful plastic surgery, is all a bit much.

Christine Chiu & Anna Shay continue to have some seriously fake drama. Gabriel Chiu is the husband and father to Christine child, baby G.

Kelly Mi Li plays a much smaller role in season two, whilst ex-boyfriend Andrew Gray makes a strange appearance in the finale, visiting none other than Anna Shay.

Jaime Xie is a Fashion blogger and daughter of Ken Xie. Her wild outfits, fun with Anna actually make the season. A strange date she has with a fashion store worker, is super awkward!

Mimi Morris & Dorothy Wang also enter the new season while Guy Tang and his husband have mostly mute roles.

Netflix, you really need to lift your game a little. Series like this maybe belong on Hayu or free to air TV. This one is a real stinker. However I have to say I was slightly more addicted this season, just wondering how bad it can actually get.

More features from the feature album landing Thursday/Friday.

Happy hump day!

Winter TV Finales - True Colours - miniseries

True Colours is my latest Winter TV Finales, like Ms Marvel over the weekend, I settled into another four-part miniseries.

Broadcast from 4-7 July 2022 on SBS TV/NITV, the miniseries was created, written and directed by Erica Glynn and Steven McGregor.

Starring Rarriwuy Hick as detective Toni Alma in a remote community in the Northern Territory. Alma is assigned to investigate a suspicious car accident in Perdar Theendar, the Aboriginal community she left as a child. The story touches on the place of Indigenous Australian art and the practices of the global art world, and explores Aboriginal culture.

True Colours was filmed entirely on location in the Macdonnell Ranges, east of Alice Springs / Mparntwe, including in the community of Amoonguna. Hundreds of works by artists from Central Australia feature in the series, which represents Arrernte culture and language.

Critics gave the series favourable reviews, with TV Week calling it "authentic and powerful".

I enjoyed the series, however after watching the brilliant Mystery Road: Origin, it was hard not to compare this series to the recent origin return of Jay Swan.

I enjoyed the return of Luke Arnold to the small screen. However with so much good Aussie TV out there at the moment, this seemed a little Home & Away versus the Netflix/streaming quality of Mystery Road, Wentworth (where we first laid eyes on Rarriwuy Hick) and Bump.

Its a good time for Aussie drama lovers with The Secret She Keeps returning for a second season on Paramount+, Neighbours concluding this week with an all-star final week episode run, The Twelve currently airing on Binge/Foxtel along with a third season of Bump in the future sometime.

True Colours streams now on SBS On Demand.

Winter TV Finales - Ms Marvel - miniseries

Ms. Marvel has not been my favourite Marvel series, however learning it was a miniseries (like some of the previous Star Wars Disney+ titles) I was happy there was only six episodes to sit through of this teen superhero romp.

Disney+ lean into Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, for the 7th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Following Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old fangirl of the Avengers who struggles to fit in until she gains her own powers. Kamala is a huge fangirl of the Avengers, particularly Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, struggles to fit in until she gains her own powers. Linking the story to previous Marvel films.

Ms. Marvel premiered on June 8, 2022, and ran for six episodes, and concluded on July 13. It is part of Phase Four of the MCU. The series served as a set-up for the film The Marvels (2023), in which Vellani will reprise her role as Khan along with additional cast members from the series.

At Comic Com this week, Disney+ have announced a pile more Marvel series on the way!

With, Iman Vellani starring as lead Kamala Khan, she is joined by Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Laurel Marsden, Azhar Usman, Rish Shah, Arian Moayed, Alysia Reiner, Laith Nakli, Nimra Bucha, Travina Springer, Adaku Ononogbo, Samina Ahmad, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Farhan Akhtar, and Aramis Knight.

In the finale, Bruno and Kamran are on the run, Deever orders a city-wide lockdown to find the latter.

Kamala crafts a disguise using a gift from her mother and Kareem's cloth before reuniting with the boys.

With help from Nakia, Aamir, and Zimmer, the group stall the DODC agents. Cleary orders a retreat, but Deever ignores him, leads a detachment of agents in storming the school where Kamala and her friends are hiding, and arrests everyone except for Kamala and Kamran, who confronts Deever.

She attacks him, but Kamala fights off the agents, allowing all of her friends to escape. Deever flees and is later relieved of her duty by Cleary. Kamala becomes a beloved figure in her community and takes the superhero name "Ms. Marvel" from her father, while Kamran flees to Pakistan and meets Kareem, as arranged by Kamala. Bruno later tells Kamala that she possesses a genetic mutation, which the rest of her family lacks.

In a mid-credits scene, we finally get to see the hero behind the hero of the series. Kamala switches places with Carol Danvers after the bangle emits a strange glow.

Was this the best Marvel series thus far? Hell no, in short. We're the action scenes top notch? Yes and no. The Falcon and the Winter Solider still was one of the most bold, interesting, action packed series of this latest run of Marvel churn and earn.

Daredevil is also set to return to Disney+ following the pull from Netflix. With so much programming heading to Disney+ I expect more folks stopping their Netflix monthly direct debit to possibly switch providers.

All six episodes of Ms Marvel are streaming now, you know where.

The Masked Cinema 2022 - Ivanna

Back in April, I headed to a Thai horror film, SLR. So when in Bali, Indonesia, it was time to check out Indonesian horror film, Ivanna.

The basic plot is, Ambar and his family were terrorized when they celebrated Lebaran in the Bandung area. Ambar, a beautiful young woman who has limited vision, is able to see things that other people can't see.

The longer plot where I learned a few more Indo words to my vocab. Since the death of their father and mother, Ambar and Dika move to a nursing home owned by their parents' best friend and their son, Agus.

There are three people in the nursing home of Masa Toea: Grandma Ani, Grandpa Farid, and Oma Ida.

The three are taken care of by Rina, a nurse who is also Agus's girlfriend. Not long after Ambar and Dika's move, Oma Ida's grandson, Arthur, comes to celebrate Eid. Ambar, who has the ability to see mystical things, accidentally gets a vision from the past: Ivanna, a Dutch woman, was tortured by Japanese soldiers which resulted in losing her head.

A series of mystical events begin to haunt Ambar and all the residents of the nursing home, especially after they find a headless statue in the basement along with a vinyl record containing a scary song.

On the day of Eid, things got even more tense when the residents of the orphanage found that Granny Ani has died without a head. Everyone panicky, especially when one by one the mystery of Ivanna's revenge is revealed. With the safety of all the residents of the orphanage now in danger, Ambar is required to finish Ivanna's revenge, before the spirit takes their lives.

It is gory in parts, with at times very basic dialogue. However the scares come in thick n fast. I was a little shaken to start with, however as the backstory gets filled in via a series of visions from Ambar, it starts to make sense.

Apparently part of the Danur universe, this was my first Indonesian film. I now really need to sit and watch The Raid finally!

Ivanna is a decent watch for those who enjoy the horror genre, 3 Stars.

Winter TV Finales - The Summer I Turned Pretty - Season One

The Summer I Turned Pretty is my latest Winter TV binge, or finale as the entire series landed mid last month.

Based on the books by Jenny Han, the first season consisting of seven episodes, is just the start. Ahead of the series commencing, it was renewed for a second season, potentially based on the second book in the trilogy, It's Not Summer Without You.

The storyline goes like every other teen drama, however it does have real heart along with a killer soundtrack. On an annual summer vacation to their family friends' beach house, Belly reunites with her friends, brothers Jeremiah and Conrad, and she finds herself caught in a love triangle. Well if you add her other bachelor contender, it is more like a love quadrangle.

Following the Amazon series debut, all three The Summer I Turned Pretty books skyrocketed into the top three spots on Amazon Best Sellers list, with the second book, It's Not Summer Without You, at number one.

Like I said it's a killer soundtrack, which also equals a pay day for the artists featured. The artists whose music is used in the show have also seen an increase in streams, sales and followers, with some experiencing up to a 6,000% increase in song sales. Taylor Swift's seventh studio album, Lover, resurged in sales and streaming, and re-entered the top 40 region of the Billboard 200 chart as well, after three of its song Cruel Summer, Lover & False God were featured in season one.

The series also had a massive social media reach, with the hashtag #TheSummerITurnedPretty accumulating over 1.3 billion views on TikTok. It generated over 107,000 global posts over launch weekend and 725 million potential impressions across platforms, according to social analytics agency DMS.

I actually really enjoyed the coming of age romance by the summer seas story. It is sweet, cute whilst also being a bit thirsty in parts!

Starring Lola Tung, Rachel Blanchard, Jackie Chung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Minnie Mills and Alfredo Narciso, Summer Madison, David Iacono, Rain Spencer, and Tom Everett Scott. A few fresh faces, however the series is well acted, whilst also feeling rather fresh.

I recommend this a lot. Following The Boys on Amazon, this is a totally different shift in gears for Amazon original programming which I welcome. Next up for me on Amazon is Panic. Looks interesting! Until next time, hello from sunny, warm, friendly Bali. What a change from Sydney!

Winter TV Finales - Stranger Things - Season Four

The fourth season of the hit US Netflix science fiction horror drama, Stranger Things has just concluded its volume two run.

Split in two volumes, for the fourth EPIC season,  the first set of seven episodes were released on May 27, while the final two episodes released on July 1. It took me that long to keep up with some of these movie length episodes.

Returning cast Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Matthew Modine and Paul Reiser, Brett Gelman,Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Quinn, Eduardo Franco and Cara Buono also star. Tom Wlaschiha, Nikola Đuričko & Mason Dye, yep there are a lot of characters to keep up with this season.

Stranger Things 4 has been met with positive reviews. Critics praised the performances of Brown, McLaughlin, Sink, Bower & Quinn, the visuals, action sequences, and the darker, more mature tone compared to previous seasons.

However like me, some criticized it for being overstuffed due to the lengthier episode runtimes compared to previous seasons. The 9th episode of this season for example is well over 2 hours. That took 3 sittings for me to conclude this season.

When will the fifth and final season return you ask? Well that is really anyones guess at this late stage! Oh well time will tell. This is definitely Netflix's biggest title right now. So delaying it, may be a tactic to hold onto that declining subscriber base.

Netflix need big titles and NOW! Stranger Things streams both volumes one and two of season four right now! With the big wet continuing (STILL!) this is a show you can easily sink your teeth into right now to avoid wet shoes, socks and everything in between. Later I'm off to Bali, like now! BOY BYE!

Winter TV Finales - The Boys - Season Three

The third season The Boys, was EPIC AF. Violent, full of sex and bad words, it was the opposite to the kid friendly lame AF Thor movie from the weekend.

Returning for the third season, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Jensen Ackles.

The season takes place a year after the events of the previous season. Following the Boys now working for Victoria Neuman's Bureau of Superhero Affairs to apprehend problematic Supes, having been at peace with the Seven.

However, the conflict is resumed once Butcher begins to investigate the truth about the apparent death of Soldier Boy, one of Vought's first American superheroes, with the hope of killing Homelander for good. Meanwhile, Homelander's mental stability begins to deteriorate as Vought attempts to restrict his power, while other Seven members such as Starlight and Queen Maeve assist the Boys in their plots against him.

The show was released in a weekly basis on Amazon Prime Video. A great strategy when streaming services are struggling to keep their subscribers.

Concluding July 8, 2022, the season has received critical praise from critics for its screenplay, black humor, action sequences, character development, storyline, and performances, particularly Urban, Starr, and Ackles.

Luckily the controversial series was renewed for a fourth season, last month. Which really was no surprise.

In the finale, Homelander finds and convinces Ryan to return to him. Unwilling to harm Hughie further, Butcher leaves him and heads to New York with Soldier Boy. Hughie meets with Annie to apologize for his mistakes.

Maeve escapes Vought's custody and meets with Hughie, Annie, and MM. Homelander kills Noir for withholding the knowledge of him being Soldier Boy's son. Butcher and Soldier Boy meet with the Boys, Annie, and Maeve, and trap all but Maeve in a safe room before leaving with her and Soldier Boy to kill Homelander.

Homelander begs Soldier Boy to accept him, though Soldier Boy attacks him. When Ryan attempts to save Homelander, Soldier Boy attacks him too, causing Butcher, Maeve, and the arriving Boys to turn against him. Soldier Boy attempts to fire another blast, but Maeve tackles him out of the building while Homelander escapes with Ryan.

Afterwards, the public mourns Maeve's apparent sacrifice, unaware she is alive but depowered, Butcher is in critical condition due to his usage of V24, Annie joins the Boys, Soldier Boy is in custody, Neuman begins running for Vice President after the Deep murders her predecessor, and Homelander and Ryan attend a rally for the former.

Season four has been set up well. Let's hope there is not a long wait between seasons. I really got right into this series this season. For me it really turned it up a notch.

Next up, another big hitting winter conclusion, Stranger Things season four will be featured right here.

Until then, stay warm, get your taxes done, have a good tight ass Tuesday!

The Masked Cinema 2022 - Thor: Love and Thunder

Oh dear, Thor: Love & Thunder is another Marvel/2022 flop!

The fourth film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor, is the sequel to 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.

The film is directed by Taika Waititi, starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor alongside Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Waititi, Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman. Waititi wanted to differentiate Love and Thunder from Ragnarok, seeking to make a romance film and 1980s-inspired adventure.

In Love & Thunder, Thor attempts to find inner peace, but must return to action and recruit Valkyrie (Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Portman)—who is now the Mighty Thor—to stop Gorr the God Butcher (Bale) from eliminating all gods.

The film earned praise for its light-heartedness and cast performances (particularly those of Bale and Portman), while criticism was aimed at its inconsistencies in tone and screenplay.

However here is the bad news. Love & Thunder is a stinker. I get more Disney vibes than Marvel vibes. It felt like the perfect KIDS school holidays film.

From stupid goats (maybe for the teen stoners) to the childish humour, this is up there with Jurassic Park for being a MASSIVE letdown.

So much so I fell asleep in a part of this blockbuster.

It doesn't matter what I say, Thor will hammer home a top box office dollar, however it's just not a good film. Like the currently airing series Ms Marvel, I think the whole Marvel thing is running it's course. I can't believe it I enjoyed Doctor Strange soooooo much more than this. I gave that 3 stars. I give this, 1 star.

It's a sad state of the film interesting when Russell Crowe starts showing off his tuck shop arms. VOM

Winter TV Finales - Mystery Road: Origin

As we conclude NAIDOC Week for 2022, Mystery Road: Origin brings the former films series to TV series Mystery Road back to its roots.

Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! is the theme this year for NAIDOC Week, which is exactly what Mark Coles Smith as he plays a younger version of Jay Swan. Originally played by Aussie legend Aaron Pedersen, Coles Smith has all the swagger and grit of Pedersen.

The prequel is set in 1999, with some robberies including Ned Kelly masks being used by the robbers with some other stories also bubbling along the six episode run.

For the late 90's it's a very diverse West Australian police office featuring some familiar faces. Lead by Sergeant Peter Lovric (Steve Bisley), Senior Constable Max Armine (Hayley McElhinney) and Constable Cindy Cheng (Grace Chow). McElhinney is Rhonda's sister. Well actually Mandy from Love Child along with oh so many other Australian series and AAMI commericals.

Enough on that. The cast is amazing, the scenery is spectacular while the six long(ish) episodes all flow well into one another. ABC have put all six episodes up to binge immediately. Which was good for me, as once I started that was it. I was in for the long haul. Well just under six hours.

I would expect another follow up of Mystery Road stories to come, with this being a fresh take on WA based crime series. Everything about this series looked top notch, like HBO quality. You can tell there has been some serious hard work put into this series.

Australian drama doesn't get much better than this, it also helps it has a familiar lead character. We know his future, however Swan's origin story is equally as interesting.

Winter TV Finales - The Bear - Season One

The Bear created by Christopher Storer, premiered on FX on Hulu on June 23, 2022.

Starring Shameless lead Jeremy Allen White alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Abby Elliott.

The series was well received by critics as well as little old me. It's frantic, fast paced while being easy to consume.

Apart from Jeremy Allen White being extremely attractive, in a non traditional way, there is something about him, you are glued to each scene.

The basic plot of the Chicago based series is, young chef (Allen White) from the world of fine dining comes home to run his family's Italian beef sandwich shop.

There is hectic, highly intense kitchen scenes that make Masterchef look like a walk in the part. I heard about this online, decided to check it out. Got totally glued, ended up completing the season in like two nights after my Les Mills gym classes.

20-47 minute episodes make this an easy mid-winter's binge. FX on Hulu have really delivered some top titles. Both American Horror Stories and Reservation Dogs return for their second series soon. The Premise was an interesting little watch, while Ms America was ace and A Teacher was another super easy watch.

The Bear is a well acted, quality new series. Get on it!

Winter Binged 2022 - And Just Like That…. - Season One

And Just Like That... following Minx (renewed for a second season), Search Party, Hacks (at last renewed for a third season), The Flight Attendant (not yet renewed, maybe cancelled?), Tokyo Vice (renewed for a second season) and Love Life (not yet renewed) is yet another HBO Max title, currently streaming in Australia on Binge.

This is the much talked about revival/ sequel of Sex and the City created by Darren Star, which is based on Candace Bushnell's newspaper column and 1996 book anthology of the same name.

Set 11 years after the events of the 2010 film Sex and the City 2, the series stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, Evan Handler, Chris Noth, Sara Ramirez & Sarita Choudhury.

And Just Like That... premiered on HBO Max on December 9, 2021, the season finale was released on February 3, 2022.

So it's taken me a minute to catch up with this ten episode romp. I started four episodes on the way to Thailand in April, then quickly sped through the remaining six episodes over a wet weekend.

These wet weekends are really good for my Winter Binged blog series.

Originally billed as a miniseries, the series was renewed for a second season in March 2022. So maybe towards Christmas we will get some more Carrie Bradshaw in our lives.

It's a little cringe in parts, however the fun doesn't stop from episode to episode. With a much more diverse cast, including/not limited to, the use of pro nouns, non binary characters along with a touch of sex in the city added in for good measure.

If you need a really light and breezy watch over this fourth in 18 month rain event. Yes once in a hundred years doesn't really cut the mustard anymore right? And Just Like That…. streams on Binge, keep a look out for season two when it lands. Speaking of reboots coming back for a second season. The second coming of Gossip Girl seems to be coming rather soon!

Winter TV Finales - The Flash - Season Eight

The eighth season of The Flash, really should have been the last.

However the Barry Allen / Flash, The CW series from the Arrowverse, will continue for a ninth season. Held for midseason (like Superman & Lois) for midseason, meaning like previously announced Riverdale's swan song. The Flash could be preparing to go out with low ratings along with low interest.

The eight season see the return of Grant Gustin as Barry, along with Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton, Brandon McKnight & Jesse L. Martin.

Why I am so down on The Flash? Back when The Flash premiered in October of 2014. The pilot became the second-most watched premiere in the history of The CW, after The Vampire Diaries in 2009. Now it's on par with some of the least watched shows on US network TV. This is where I question? When will network TV dramas in the US die?

Season eight starts off with the five-part event Armageddon storyline, where Flash is targeted by Despero who claims that Barry was running at a speed that destroys the Earth from Despero's point in the future.

As Barry persuades Despero to give him seven days to prove him wrong, he starts to suffer from memory issues where he can't remember causing havoc in Central City or Joe West somehow dying six months ago.

This was because Thawne caused a Reverse-Flashpoint where he was Flash and Barry was Reverse-Flash. With help from the Damien Darhk of the Reverse-Flashpoint timeline, Barry is able to restore the timeline and prevent Joe's death. After Barry undid Reverse-Flashpoint, Thawne and Damien Dahrk were revealed to still be alive, but fading away.

Thanwe publicly asks Barry to save him or else he'd be erased from the timeline. Despite knowing what Thawne has done and Thawne himself claiming that he would continue attacking Barry and Team Flash if allowed to live, Barry ultimately decides to save him by removing his Speed and connection to the Negative Speed Force while also repelling Despero.

With Thawne in custody, the team goes out to celebrate. Damien Darhk gives Joe his Time Stone believing Joe will need it soon. Team Flash deals with the birth of Deathstorm. Deathstorm is defeated at the cost of Frost. Flash also encounters Meena Dhawan who has also gained super-speed with help from a revived time remnant of Thawne.

Then they deal with an infection to the Still Force caused by negative tachyons as it kills the imprisoned Thawne. This infection also created the negative versions of the Strength Force, the Sage Force, and the Still Force. The Negative Forces sacrifice Iris so that Thawne can be revived in his time remnant's body.

In this seasons finale, which maybe should have been the series finale, the Negative Forces transform Thawne into their new avatar.

In the Negative Speed Force, they explain to Barry that this is their revenge for when he weakened them by removing Thawne's speed. Barry, Meena, Bart, and Nora fight Thawne in Central City, but he sends the latter three back in time. Meanwhile, Cecile rescues Bashir and transfers her powers to him, which he uses to rescue the other Forces so they can aid Barry.

Iris is saved by the Time Stone, and Damien Darhk helps her resurrect herself. Jay Garrick reunites her with Barry. With help from the Forces, he reverses a powerful attack from Thawne back into him, removing him from the timeline. After the universe “resets”, Iris is cured of her time sickness and the speedsters return to their native time. The BLOC is depowered and Meena loses her speed.

Meanwhile, the CRC malfunctions, and Mark doesn't recognize who is inside. Mona's and Dillon's powers are restored while Cecile develops telekinesis. Tinya and Renee are reunited. Iris mentions that the NSF will find a new avatar, and Barry states that he'll be ready. A blue crystal is shown at a laboratory in 2049.

Will The CW get in early (ahead of their sale) announcing the curtain call for The Flash with season nine. Even still nine seasons is a huge run for any network series in this current climate. No I am not on about climate change.

With the evolution of Disney+ with their huge budget Marvel series, The Flash and co just look a little budget with their smaller DC/The CW budgets. You just need to watch one episode of The Flash back to back with Ms Marvel to notice the fancy special effects/action sequences of one, versus the other.

Speaking of Marvel, Thor will be your next movie review, ahead of my first feature album post right here on Monday.

Winter TV Finales - Superman & Lois - Season Two

Superman & Lois has just concluded it's very poorly scheduled second season. During which, Superman's painful visions lead him to an encounter with Bizarro while also butting heads with Lt. General Mitch Anderson.

In the land of Lois, she deals with the Inverse Method cult led by Ally Allston who swayed Lucy Lane to her side and has made an enemy of Bizarro for her supposed conquering of his world.

Superman & Lois was renewed for a third season, due to air mid season, next TV season in the United States, commencing September, 2022. So realistically like seasons one and two, a Jan or Feb launch is highly likely.

Here is a recap of this week's rather hectic finale.

Chrissy urges everyone to be with their families. People are randomly being transported between worlds, and Lois is eventually separated from everyone else. She finds Sam, Kyle, and the Inverse Chrissy, but they're all transported back without her. Natalie re-establishes contact with John and brings his escape pod to the space between worlds.

They transfer their suits' power to it and use it to destroy the portals. Tal-Rho returns and flies Superman into the sun, restoring and supercharging his powers. His power is too great for Ally to handle, causing her to split back into two. Superman rescues John and Natalie and separates the two worlds. At a celebration, Clark and Lana reconcile, Sarah and Jordan rekindle their relationship, Lois tells Chrissy that Clark is Superman, and Lana tells Kyle that their relationship won't be the same again.

Both Ally’s are imprisoned at the DOD, and they admit to Lois that they didn’t feel complete. John Diggle visits Irons, wanting to know why Bruno Mannheim killed this Earth's Irons. Tal-Rho buys trucks for Jonathan and Jordan and moves to the Inverse Smallville while Lucy moves to Metropolis. Clark creates a new Fortress in the ocean for his family.

Superman & Lois really is (along with Walker) is the gem in The CW's roster. With their sale on the horizon, who knows how much longer these DC series will be around for. Already Batwoman and Legend of Tomorrow are already dead and buried.

The scheduling this season of Superman & Lois really was the downside of the run. Like let's be real, 3 episodes in Jan, 2 in Feb, 4 in March, 1 in April, 2 in May and finally 3 in June. Like really, one in all of April.

Let's hope next season has some better scheduling planned out.

The CW really has a much slimmer roster after cancelling many of its failing series next TV season. Let's see if Superman & Lois is still the jewel in the crown next year. Tomorrow a look at the awful eighth season of The Flash.
