Cut is a one woman, dark (in ever sense of the word) and scary production which has it's world premiere right here!

So Cut there is not much to say about this but if your scared of the dark BEWARE! Cut is awesome and I'm not giving anything away so check it out NOW before it closes on Sunday.

Cut rates 4 freaky ass stars

Film Freak 2011 - Thor {3D}

2nd of my Easter movies of the long weekend and boy were they a lot better than I expected, Paul as before was enjoyable but I really got into this one. There was an Aussie and the lovely Natalie Portman.

Looks it's not Oscar material by any means but it was fluff and enjoyable fluff.

The movie got to the point and was really easy to keep up with one of the more difficult plots in the superhero genre.

Thor would be a good movie for school holiday terrors or adults a like it's a solid film.

Thor rates like Paul 3 holidays stars.

Film Freak 2011 - Paul

So I was totally uninterested in this film until Easter 2011 and a massive 5 day weekend presented itself and this movie actually surprised me.

Besides missing the start due to a huge line at the box office on George Street this was a truly pleasant film experience, good characters, easy to follow story and Seth Rogan doing the vocal talents for a random alien on Earth actually works.

The movie was a little long but other than that I had a few laughs and enjoyed the crude humour, which is no surpise.

Paul rates an outer space 3 stars.

TV in 2011

So a lot of people have said 2011 has not been a great year in Television, but I have to disagree, the recent Paper Giants, mini series on the ABC was simply superb and so well acted by Asher Keddie, is there anything that woman can't do?

Also with the anticipation of Angry Boys to the ABC in May I think the ABC is kicking a whole heap of goals right now.

Desperate Housewives has really stepped it up a gear this year and has just been renewed for another season. True Blood is going for gold heading into series 4 in June and Weeds also stepped it up a notch with it's last season and series 7 is coming in June in the states.

And tonight comes something I'm excited about, East West 101 can't wait it is going to be epic.

So TV in 2011 5 stars!

Film Freak 2011 - Scream 4

Oh the 90's, back in 1996, when the Spice Girls where hip and slasher movies were the best way to get a scare and torture porn movies like Saw and Hostel had not even been though up, Scream was the king of the horror genre. And who could forget that Drew Barrymore scene?

Now 10 years later, the fourth film in this movie series strikes our screen and after two false starts we finally get into the film. The false starts got me on the back foot to be honest, and Anna Paquin, why did you sign up for this? Your a True Blood goddess now, not some freak from the Piano.

So the film starts the killings begin and nothing much seems to have changed besides the major product placement of iPhones, webcams and the older stars plastic surgey (Courtney loves Cox WTF!).

Scream back in the late 90's was epic, the killer was scary, you jumped out of your seat, this time around people are laughing, clapping when the killer is finally killed for the third time, what's changed, have people moved onto and want something more like Saw or Hostel? Or are Horror movies now null and void when there is too much real terror like natural diasters in the world?

Wither way this film was so B Grade it was actually C grade, 2 stars mainly for the clever twist at the end.

Theatre - Jack Charles v the Crown

Jack Charles v the Crown, playing until this Sunday the 17th @ Belvoir.

Gosh us white people blow, and not in a good way. Jack Charles did a great one man show at Sydney's Belvoir st theatre and enjoyed all the stories and adventures of this 60 something year old man.

Jack Charles is yes a criminal but hearing about his heart breaking up brining and his batteles in life it was truly inspirational.

Loved this play and the songs and the band, it was a feel good but in a weird way you also felt bad, hmmmmm

A though provoking piece and I can totally see this guy on Q & A soon.

Jack Charles v the Crown rates a happy go lucky 4 stars.

Film Freak 2011 - Sucker Punch

So to say this was the second worst movie I have ever seen at the movies is only the tip of the iceberg. If you are wondering what the worst was it was Dreamgirls, just dreadful.

Okay Sucker Punch, it started to suck 10 minutes in and just got worst, I groaned a few times in dissapointment in the Aussie actresses who know havwe to have this on their resume for life. Abbie Cornish and Emily Browning what the fuck were you thinking?

I am so upset for both these actresses who have prioved themselves before and now they are total slags in a crap American soft porn action film.

What made the experience worse was a nasty old man alone next me enjoying these young (some look like school girls) bounce around in underpants for a couple of hours.

The movie was also way to long and too tiresome.

I can think of anyone enjoying this pile of shit, the acting, story and characters in this film were all damn awful.

I left angered that I wasted my money on this 100th rate dodgy action film that my boyfriends dog Maverick could have come up with a better plot. Sucker Punh is the years worst film, I don't are what else comes out it can't be worse than this.

Abbie Cornish and Emily Browning I hope you got paid a huge amount of cash cause you won't be getting any credible roles anytime you soon.

Sucker Punch doesn't rate it rates negative 5 stars.

From Dubbo to Sydney

So after doing the Sydney Roar and Snore it was time to check out the local Dubbo scene at the Western Plains Zoo. And can I just say Western Plains Zoo what an amazing playground for the animals, the fences are hidden so from a drive around the Zoo it almost looks like the animals are running free.

Great Zoo, great time had by all.

The drive through the mountains on the other hand, Barry O Farrell, you have a big job ahead of you, that road through the Blue Mountains, the Western Slowway, a disgrace! It is one of the worst pieces of road in this state, just terrible.

The small towns on the way too and from were also a hoot, from Orange to Lithgow it never ceases to surprise me Country Folk, they definitely are a lot different to us city folk. And this is not a bad thing, just a very different thing.

The Roar and Snore experiences, back to what this original entry was meant to be about, and Taronga Zoo (Sydney) is one of the most romantic and special events ever. The view is delightful and the program is so well run and enjoyable. The Dubbo one is a little more back to nature but seeing those stars in the sky on the night walk was amazing, the sky was spectacular!

So overall Roar and Snore in Dubbo or Sydney has something for all, just lovely!

Film Freak 2011 - the Reef

I wanted to love this film so much, I love Damien Walsh Howling more than words can explain, he is sex on legs. I also love a shark/croc/any animal on the rampage film.

However this movie at a little under 90 minutes felt long and a film this short should feel anything other than long. The action scenes were done OK, a lot of critism has come about due to the special effects but they did the best they could.

The same guy behind this did the great killer croc movie "Black Water" which was awesome, however "The Reef" is good, never awesome. Also based on true events this film has great moments but lacks the psychological distress that "Open Water" from a few years back created. At first in "Open Water" there is hope, then anger, then terror and horror. This film never went through the motions it just all happened and it hoped for the best.

All in all still a good Aussie effort and anything with Damiaen Walsh Howling rates a little higher than maybe it should, 3 stars.

Film Freak 2011 - Lincoln Lawyer

Wow a really good movie and I think this will make my best of 2011 list in the Legal Drama category. Loved this film so much. Everyone puts in an awesome effort and the plot has a lot of nice twists and turns.

I don't want to ruin it for you but this film has it all, a great effort and I don't think people can say the book was better than the film cause the film was blinking good as.

I give the Lincoln Lawyer 4 and a half stars, the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is there was no nudity, BOO!
