Music Related: Why I have lost all faith in Kanye West ever releasing another record as good as The College Dropout

I'm a lover and advocate for new music and I used to hate the saying I like their old stuff better than their new stuff it's just not as good, they are selling out, I wish when they toured they only played....

Kanye West has become massive joke and someone who comedians just ache for more West/Kardashian madness in a world of Instagram and Twitter. Kanye's Twitter alone lately has delivered more column inches than most major issues in the world issues.

Kanye used to be a great artist, an outstanding producer and a musician I would take notice of when there was word a new record was on the way. However that changed with The Life of Pablo.

I stood by him with his record Yeezus where fans and the public begun turning on him, his Watch the Throne record with Jay Z was brilliant and his previous albums were outstanding hip hop/urban releases.

Black Skinhead and New Slaves were brilliant cuts from Yeezus however The Life of Pablo lacks these killer cuts. No More Parties in LA with Kendrick was a breath of fresh air when it was finally re-added to the album but still there was no stand out hit on this album. Famous was just insulting, all the interludes made me feel Kanye was chucking a Janet Jackson (known for loads of interludes and little substance in between) and cutting my girl Sia from the Wolves track.

Unlike Sia above this album's release and promotion was a mess, release dates changing, then only available on Tidal, the constant track list changes, the title changes and most of all, the Twitter rants and insults.

Taylor Swift finally got hers back and served him with a massive FUCK YOU without saying as much and now he is online again stating another album is on the way. One can only hope it is nowhere near the cluster fuck that The Life of Pablo is. The only good thing to come from this could be Lily Allen is teasing us with a new album title:

THE WIFE OF PABLO.

Could be the winner (at this stage) for the Album title of 2016.

Kanye, mate what are you doing, you used to be cool, now you are just blah. Thank god the world now has Kendrick Lamar. Speaking of, he is touring this fine brown land mid March, check him OUT!

March 2016 = Travel Month, Hello Asia!

Like February with Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day and Summer ending, March is busy with St Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras and Easter (yes it's early this year) so I have decided what better time than have an Asian vacation.

Yes posts on this BLOG and my music based blog Flashing off the Record might be a little lighter than normal or depending on how much chill time I have more frequently than normal.

The film reviews will dry up a little, however I have already caught a damn lot of films in 2016 and we are only two months in. That said I am super excited about Triple 9 opening this Thursday, looks fantastic.

So next Thursday evening/late afternoon I will take off to Bali (yes I have heard the travel warnings) and then just pre Easter I will hit up Vietnam, Hong Kong and Bangkok. I cannot wait!

TV wise a few good shows are wrapping up in the next few weeks and a few are returning after lengthy Christmas/New Years/Holiday period breaks.

Agent Carter (as discussed yesterday) wraps this week after a disappointing second outing, American Crime (not to be confused with American Crime Story: The People vs OJ) concludes it's 10 episode run mid next week (week commencing 7 March) and returning are Blindspot and Gotham after mid season breaks.

So March is almost upon us, look out for plenty of travel news and excitement as this old Randy Andy is heading OUT!

Sad watching a TV show like Agent Carter turn to complete SHIT!

A Musical Number usually spells the end of a TV series and the recent inclusion of a musical number in Agent Carter was the nail in the coffin of this under performing Marvel outing.

Always camp, at times outrageous, Agent Carter has seen Peggy Carter wear some outfits even too camp for Miss Fischer's Murder Mysteries and long suffered lower ratings than it's ABC cousin Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The first season was a critical success, a ratings failure but season two opened to a very average 3.18 million Americans, and currently is being watched by 2.50 million Americans as the episodes are burnt off in double features.

Never a good sign when double features become an opinion for under performing programs.

The season started positively with a sea change to LA but quickly lost the plot with an additional two episodes to the series count (taking the total to 10 in place of 8 (season one's total run)) and a serious amount of padding happening.

A short release eight episode season is heaven for these mid season Winter/Aussie Summer filler shows but when there is little story/plot, 10 episodes can feel like a lifetime.

Unlike it's station mate American Crime has gone from strength to strength in it's second outing, with this series breaking some serious network television ground.

Race, sexuality, gun control and rape have all been covered in this brilliant season and I am really hoping this gets a third outing. Not a huge ratings hit but more steady than the above Agent Carter, American Crime is an important show, tackling important issues right here and now.

ABC has a big decision on it's hands, to cancel the first Marvel TV show since comic book hero shows took over the airwaves and/or renew a show covering so much important social ground.

I loved Agent Carter to start with but like Revenge (a former ABC show that died a LONG overdue and painful death) this series will not be remembered for it's brilliant use of a female lead, but it's unremarkable second outing, sad but true.

That Movie Gay #2016

Michael Bay returns and this time without a terrible Transformers effort, it's time for 13 HOURS or the longer title 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

So in a time of war and terrorism this film is an interesting one, it's based on the book from 2014 13 Hours and has had some criticism due to it's historical accuracy.

But is it any good? Yes and No, I am not sure why these Americans were put in such a dangerous position, nor do I understand war and why America continues to aggravate the hornets nest (so to speak) and by this I mean the Middle East and other territories.

The World will never all be like America, Christian, "conservative" and with a large emphasis on capitalism so I struggled to understand why these Americans thought it would be a good idea to go after a large civil war?

But really this is more than war, it's about what is left behind, dead Americans, dead locals, dead Ansar al-Sharia fighters and the families of these people who have to deal with the aftermath. Ansar al-Sharia formed after the civil war and support IS, they are bad dudes and wanted to destroy anything US related and unfortunately succeed with the attack this film is based on.

I hate war and hate the fact people get involved in affairs they should leave alone. I am not saying people should stand by and let countries go to shit more that if they can figure it out themselves leave it, if they ask for help, give it. Not everyone in the world will ever have the same beliefs, values and traditions and we as a coalition need to understand this.

So back to the film and away from politics, this films action scenes and final war/battle were well done and showed the ugliness of war, the script at times was heavy and felt very average. That said the film (a little over long) made me sad the world is the way it is, Michael Bay did a much better job than his last Transformers effort but there is still a way to go.

13 Hours, War really is shit but this film passes with a 3 Star rating and RIP for all involved in that terrible day back in 2012.

Why Shameless is easily one of the BEST shows on TV

Shameless (the USA version) now in it's sixth season has really excelled with the best gay character and cutest storyline in seasons for young Ian. Falling for a handsome firefighter, Ian (Cameron Monaghan - also brilliant in the first half of this season's much improved Gotham) and Caleb (real life - Jeff Pierre (super hot INSTA here) are having the cutest new relationship.

Lip is also super hit as he grows older and his Mother issues are just getting wilder and wilder.

The best news is the series is already green lit for season seven, meaning even though this series is at the halfway mark another amazing round of Gallagher madness and sex is on the way.

By a series sixth season things usually start to go belly up or bat shit crazy, we all remember True Blood, great show but bat shit crazy and they had a series of books to follow.

Ratings wise as well for Showtime the show is as steady as a rock, it has no peaks or dips, just slow and steady, nice.

Emmy Rossum (speaking of steady) continues to impress as big sis Fiona and neighbours V & Kev are just amazing, I cannot say enough about this wonderful Showtime (soon to be a classic) starting in 2011, this show will return again in January 2017, giving it an exceptional 7 season run with no seventh and final wording around as yet.

Shameless give it a whirl today all six (well halfway through six) are totally binge worthy!

That Movie Gay #2016

Will Smith got angry at the Oscars for no diversity but was CONCUSSION an Oscar worthy film after all the drama? Look Leo still has best actor in the bag at the Oscars and Will has done some shit films over the years and this isn't one of them, but no sorry Will this was not Oscar worthy.

Based on true events making me think, our NRL players also cop a lot of near deadly high blows and why did the NFL act so irresponsibly when all the research was right in front of them? People dying, people going insane?

Will Smith did do a good job (just not Oscar worthy) as Dr. Bennet Omalu, what a man, what values and why on Earth did it take him so long to become a US citizen.

Going back to the Oscars after seeing the majority of best male actor movies Fassbender was great as Jobs, Matt Damon was decent in the Martian and Cranston is getting good reviews for an average performing Trumbo, however actually I could sub Will in for Eddie Redmayne. The Danish Girl was average at best and again Hollywood not all transgender folks get big budgets like this and Ms Jenner.

That all said really who cares about awards, we only care now as it's award season, people love to comment on the red carpet and wing about their favourite stars not being honoured so on merit, this film was good, not great or outstanding like Brooklyn but pretty damn good.

Will Smith could be making a comeback after Hancock, Men in Black 3 and I am Legend to name a few. That said Focus a couple of years ago wasn't half bad.

Ok so this has been a rave about the Oscars (happening USA time this Sunday I believe) but overall the all important star rating, I am going with 3 head in the sand NFL big wigs Stars for this solid little drama.

Why I am NOT across Sydney's Lock Out Laws

So on the weekend Sydney rose up against the Nanny state now known as Sydney. But as a non drinker I find it hard to understand why today's youth needs to be drinking until 8am or later, but on the flip side after walking to a 7am job on the weekend, Sydney is totally dead.

No one doing the walk of shame, no one anywhere, nowhere to get an early morning coffee from, nothing open, a FUCK lot of For Lease signs and more shops/pubs/live music venues closing.

Sydney is a great city but on the brink of becoming a lame and dull city with no nightlife and 0% culture.

As a bogan nation drinking is a must on:

Australia Day
Anzac Day
Easter Holidays
Queen's Birthday Weekend
Labor Day Weekend
Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Eve/Day

Australia has an alcohol problem yes, but is this the real reason why an entire section of the city is closing? And why Star City is allowed to make millions.

Star City is doing a roaring trade with reports the violence has only shifted from the Cross and the City to Pyrmont and Ultimo.

So the Casino is still making the big bucks and now Premier Baird is know simply as Casino Mike. Australian musicians and venues have joined forces to create Keep Sydney Open. With around 15,000 people going out in the rain, Sydney seems united that we need to stand up to the man.

It makes me sad to think teenagers growing up now will miss out on the fun I had growing up and going out in Sydney, I meet some amazing friends on Sydney's dance floors late in the night, I loved seeing bands late in the night and walking home safely, I now miss music festivals in Summer and wish Australia could have a good time and not get some fucked up that they turn to violence.

It's a shame all (including tourists and visitors to Sydney - who now think Sydney is a lame city that used to be great) Sydney siders now have to be punished when it was a small number of individuals who couldn't play nice just ruin it for all.

Sydney was once great, it is becoming a bit shit and a city that is quickly losing it's identity and it's vibe. Come on Sydney we are better than this. So Daily Telegraph if your here for Sydney, this is the real story not having your columnists defend George Pell or attack the ABC, make Sydney great again.

That Movie Gay #2016

There are times when you sit in a movie and you just get so into it, BROOKLYN is that movie.

Set in 1950, across Ireland and Brooklyn, New York this is a beautiful film, both looking and with it's intent.

A UK, Irish and Canadian co-pro this film was just so sweet and so surprisingly good I was in tears, laughing and gushing all over this beautiful romantic piece.

Saorise Ronan is so heads and tales above Cate B (in Carol) in a romantic role but Brie Larson in Room is still my queen.

I was not 100% sold on this film but after a long weekend of manual labour I was super keen for an easy to watch, well acted film.

The romance and Ronan's growth in Brooklyn is just beautiful and her husband in Brooklyn (Emory Cohen) is just divine. Tragedy strikes and the story returns to Ireland, I won't do anymore spoilers (that the trailer doesn't tell you already) but I will say this is easily one of the best romance stories I have seen in years. Apparently so much so the BBC is doing a spin off TV show.

I was beyond impressed with this brilliant movie, 4 stunning Irish stars.

That Movie Gay #2016 (Double Feature)

So two movies in a short amount of time could be overkill for one of the worlds most influential people, but the critics and award folks were loving the latest STEVE JOBS film. I took it in the other day and I have to say, the acting was well, amazing.

On the flip side for 90% of the film my dislike for Jobs grew and grew. He was so annoying and his over the top desire for perfection at launches of products were completely off the chain.

Michael Fassbender is a fab actor and Kate Winslet has proven she can do an Aussie film and a big US number all in the one year and shine at both.

I was impressed by this film and had only heard good things, however I am not sure the Australian audiences are paying attention, I had the entire cinema to myself and after a late release after the US release this film is one of those films that comes and goes super fast.

Sad because I am starting to think Australian cinema goers only like the rubbish and avoid the high quality films which at times also act as a slightly educational look at our past and where our future was headed with Jobs.

Look it would have made an amazing stage play and the lack of content makes this film a little long in parts and some of the dialogue is so Aaron Sorkin heavy but overall it works.

Steve Jobs, it's a damn fine drama about product launches and Job's attention to detail, 3.5 Stars.

Next on a totally different note, it's another comedy and this time Rebel Wilson takes a bit more of a back seat.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi and all the rest for Rebel Wilson but it's not all her in this tight US comedy.

Dakota Johnson steps out of the sexy red room of Grey for an honest look at relationships in a big city. New York City looks brilliant in this fantastic rom-com. Although it's more com in the first half and rom in the second, although the great cast all has their own takes on relationships and life experiences.

Leslie Mann is brilliant, whilst Damon Wayans, Jr is brilliant in his role. I smiled, I almost cried, I laughed a shit load (and so did the almost packed cinema) and really wanted to shout out on the streets see this fucking movie now!

It's so different seeing a comedy with a reactive audience, Sisters was great and I heard very little laughter, there were scenes in this film where I completely missed lines due to the audience being so into it.

How to Be Single should be a hit in Australia, unlike Steve Jobs (above) you check you're brain at the door, you order popcorn and sit back and giggle to you're hearts content.

I was a little unsure how much I was going to like this film, however leaving I was a huge fan, just brilliant and I can't believe Drew Barrymore was one of the producers, cute.

4.25 Stars, too early in 2016 for 5 star and 4.5 star films, although don't get me wrong this was DAMN GOOD.

Wanted.

Oh fuck this is BAD, real BAD. So BAD every time I write BAD it's gonna be in caps.

Why? did Channel Seven feel the need to make another sub par Rebecca Gibney drama? Just because Packed to the Rafters was a massive drama ratings hit, doesn't mean any old shit she is in is gonna be a hit. Molly (as per a previous post) I liked, Wanted I wanted to throw up.

So Rebecca Gibney's last Seven outing (aside from the mini-series about Peter Allen) Winter (what's with the one word titles starting with W, what will the next series be called, Why?) was a good idea, a spin off from a TV movie which was tried and tested. Good acting, good writing and good characters.

The show started off with just over 1.3 Million viewers, wrapped with just over 800K viewers after 6 episodes. That is almost a 50% drop off, for Wanted I predict between 60-70% drop off.

Ryan Corr is such a wasted talent in this and Stephen Peacocke is handsome as fuck but just plain wooden in this role, it's back to the school of Home & Away for you boy. You may be a pretty face and a rock hard body but that's it.

I wanted to like this and I want to support Australian drama (don't get me started on Australian Comedy - Here Come the Habib's encore screening last night was like witnessing an abortion going wrong, fuck it was poorly written, cast and when a comedy doesn't get a single laugh, there are issues, MAJOR issues) but Wanted is just plain BAD, BAD plot, BAD pilot, BAD acting, BAD future ahead and BAD choice of leaden ladies and men. Take a risk and find the next big thing instead of wheeling out Gibney at any given chance.

Wanted, I suspect a reality show on Seven will replace this and it will move time-slots, it was almost as awkward as Samantha Armytage and Kristen Davis this week. Man Sunrise can you get anymore lame from refugees to a 1990's show and making a character try and convince an audience that Sex & the City 2 was NOT the world's most cringeworthy sequel?

Come on Seven, you may be winning the ratings, but you're content still sucks a big set of hairy unshaved balls. Happy Valentine's Day...

That Movie Gay #2016

Originally I thought DEADPOOL was Rated R but it looks like the censors got it right this is totally an MA15+ film, after seeing the hateful Eight, I know now the difference between a violent MA15+ film and an R18+ film. The difference is this is a loaded with swearing and sex reference Ryan Reynolds part comic book action part sex comedy.

Now upon watching the trailer you get the score, Ryan Reynolds is hot then not but horny as fuck.

Now I went in with high expectations after loving Marvel TV sick lately (R.I.P Agent Carter - it looks like I was right Season 2 seems to be the last - with remaining episodes burnt off as doubles) and loving Ant-Man and even to a degree the reboot of the Fantastic Four.

So I went in rooting for this film (LOL - rooting) and I came out (despite an upset stomach - thanks buscapan) excited for the Sequel.

Yes SPOILER ALERT - if you stuck around for the final end of credits scene it looks like (and on the films Wiki page) a sequel is on the way. Not surprising really the recent X-Men films have been brilliant and another is on the way this year.

As I write this I am catching up on Supergirl and honestly I am not over Superheros/Comic Book stars yet. Why? Because my life is dull? I am a super obese nerd? No it escapes reality, the reality of working, the reality of living in a city with lockout laws (hold the phone on that matter I will come back to that soon), the reality of not enough hours in a day and the reality of fantasy is brilliant! The movies is the best place for escapism and we all need this. Time out from our mobile phones, time out from talking bullshit and time to take five.

Escapism for me is my batteries recharging, time in a cold (and cinema 9 at Hoyts Broadway this morning could freeze anyones nipples erect as fuck) dark room chilling out, HEAVEN.

So Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds is HOT, Ed Skrein is also easy on the eye too :)

Other than the eye candy other than the recapping the back story and time jumping a little too much I did enjoy the shit out of this one.

I loved the well choreographed action scenes, the swearing, the sexy comments and the moments when Ryan Reynolds wore less clothes.

Deadpool could be the perfect Valentines Day film, flesh for the women, action for the men, HOT! Look out at a cinema near you for wristies galore.

Deadpool it's a good start to another year of Comic Book Hero films on the big screen saying fuck a whole heap. 4 Stars.

It's Funny Watching Seven trying to do the ABC {MOLLY}

Topping the Ratings on Sunday night Molly and the sex romp that was Part One did drama proud and beat MKR with a massive 1.7 million viewers turning in for Part One. MKR was a sniff away from 1.4 million viewers coming in second.

So great to see drama beating reality for once. I hope Seven continue to invest in my drama and less reality. However I don't see that happening somehow.

There new drama featuring Seven favourite Rebecca Gibney was a little behind Molly with 1.1 Million viewers being beaten off by Here Come the Habibs, a show drawing a little controversy and free publicity along the way.

The funny thing about Molly is the fact that it's a Channel 7 show showing how uptight the ABC was back when Countdown commenced. The thing is was the ABC really as uptight as they are making out? With Double J launching in 1971 and Countdown in 1974 I am pretty sure the ABC was OK with a bit of Rock n Roll.

I must say the lovely Ben Geurens (I knew this dude in a previous life) is still easy on the eye and it's refreshing seeing Samuel Johnson as a lead again on Australian TV. All in all though it's pretty much drama by the numbers with Seven having past success with the Peter Allen and INXS stories. Who will be next though? That's the question? Will they keep the ABC theme and make a film about Triple J radio legend Richard Kingsmill? Or take on the life of Tony Jones?

Time will tell as with solid ratings and advertising interest in Molly and the previous titles one can only guess that another will be in the pipeline somewhere at Seven.

I will wait and see how Part II is and I will also try and pop something up re: Wanted over the weekend. I also return to the movies (finally) tomorrow AM so look out for a Deadpool review. Unedited!

Bye, Happy Pre V Day!

I STRONGLY believe Lunar New Year Should become a NEW national holiday in Australia, here is why...

With Sydney being the home to the largest Chinese population outside China (of course) in the Oceania region and a large number of other countries celebrating the fabulous event known as Lunar New Year in Australia, it's time for Australia to have a public holiday NOT to be ashamed of.

After the confusion over Australia Day (some rename it Invasion Day, Triple J's Hottest 100 has become more of tradition than anything more cultural than enjoying 100 damn HOT tunes, others wear the Australian flag, drink beer and generally act like the bogans we are becoming famous for overseas) and the Australian of the Year award, it's time for us to have a day dedicated to family, wishing good wishes and kindness towards others.

Australia's public holidays are largely a joke in 2016 and don't get me started on Anzac Day. Last year was fucking horrific, Anzac programming largely drew people in their droves to Netflix, Stan and Presto to avoid the wall to wall coverage on commercial television. And I love the ABC but you guys fucked up last year majorly, the overkill on Anzac programming was a national embarrassment. With another useless "war" taking place "on terror" in the Middle East that we blindly followed the US into (AGAIN!) it's not a day about being proud, but wondering how many politicians will we have to follow into these ridiculous "wars".

Lunar New Year is such a lovely time for families, friends and communities to come together, enjoy good food and company in a time when the world is so all over the shop.

The idea of people all returning home for time with their loved ones and amazing food is seriously so touching for me. Eating, being together and simply enjoying each others company rather than playing two up and pissing it up a wall to the point of being violent or physically ill.

If we want Australia to be great, it's about engaging with the community, having inclusive events, respecting other cultures and making the people who make this country up feel valued and respected. I for one have been lucky enough to experience Tet (Vietnamese New Year) for a number of years now, and in all honesty this period/time/day feels so much more special than Christmas, so much less stressful and so much love and HOPE around the table.

I advise all of you dear readers to experience the wonders of Lunar New Year, wish you're neighbours Kung hei fat choy or if they are Viet Chuc Mung Nam Moi, head to you're local China town or head to a Lunar New Years event or markets. Get amongst some culture gang. Unlike "Australian" holidays there is a lot more than a 100 years worth of history with some of our neighbours most cherished times of the year.

Australians lets embrace diversity and learn something about some of our nearest and dearest neighbours, it's time to get cultured and put down the VB for five minutes. The cricket season is over and thank god the Australian Open has fucked off from our TV's. Dragon's, the Year of the Monkey and amazing food awaits...

Marvel's dominance on the Small Screen Expands, whilst DEADPOOL opens Thursday

Early-mid December I blogged about Jessica Jones, got side tracked and went on about comic book conversions to TV. I am now almost done with Season 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and I have to say the reviews are right, it does get better with time.

Agent Carter (Season Two) has been off to a good start however the ratings in the USA seem a little low for any chance of a third outing particularly with a new half an hour series in development at ABC, Marvel's Damage Control.

Agent Carter generally has the most brilliant fashion on American TV and it's throwback to the 1940's and the start of S.H.I.E.L.D is great. Unfortunately I think the show is doomed like a lot of other ABC shows which are currently airing finished a shortened season.

Along with Carter, the promos are coming in for the new season of Daredevil, set to air (all episodes) March 18. Jessica Jones has been given a second series (most likely to air in 2017) and the Luke Cage series will air this year after getting a bit of a run in the first series of Jessica Jones.

Along with the TV domination, Deadpool is the R Rated Marvel film headed to our screens next week. The point of difference here is the language, graphic violence and sexual nature of the film. An R Rated superhero film, how will this work? Kick Ass was close to this and was a cult hit, well until the sequel surfaced.

Not only is Deadpool out this year we will have another X-Men film and a Captain American featuring Iron Man film. Doctor Strange will also get a big screen outing, taking this to four Marvel films in 2016, and another four set for 2017.

Comic Book heroes are really and truly all the rage still on the big and small screen but how long can this last and continue to draw the crowds at the box office and generate (decent) ratings and online chatter for the series?

On a quick side note on Australian TV, the much anticipated MOLLY starts tonight and staying with music well done to the Flashing off the Record album of the week, This is Acting by Sia, reaching Number One in Australia. Great job Sia, holding off Adele for another week at Number One. This is two Australian Number one albums back to back. Last week Sydney's Rufus second album Bloom took the top spot.

Next week's Flashing off the Record feature album is set to be the brilliant debut album from New York Duo, Lion Babe.

Tonight I will publish another Summer Music List based on the best Duo's kicking around right now. So make sure you visit Flashing off the Record for another HOT Summer Music List.

Hopefully dear readers I will get back to the cinema next week to check out Steve Jobs and I also am desperate to see Deadpool, let's hope it's good and Ryan Reynolds gets a return to form gig.

Is there anyone WORSE than Donald Trump in the US???

Well yes...

TED CRUZ!!!

This guy is well wicked and super hated in the US, meaning walk right into the White House Hillary.

The US seems to have gone completely mad with these religious, gun happy, abortion hating nut jobs and the crazier, the more likely they are to succeed in the bible belt and with the red neck whack jobs.

After watching Making a Murderer (and loving it - well done Netflix) facts never get in the way of promoting you're point of view.

FACT - Guns are out of control in the USA and standing with the NRA and cooking bacon (in the above video - what the fuck) is really going to keep the US back.

FACT - People (particularly women) are allowed to make choices, abortion is sometimes the only way forward for people. Domestic violence, rape, incest are only a few reasons why that abortions are not an easy decision but sometimes a decision needs to be made. Making it harder for safe, legal abortions will end up in more than a babies life in danger but the mother as well. Not only would making a hard decision be unbearable but the pain and danger you could be in. Frightening.

FACT - Immigration, like Australia, appeal to the rednecks, use fear, create hate, revert to the 1950's. Ted Cruz you are frightening, even you're daughter can't stand you.

FACT - Carpet bombing the Middle East will kill MORE innocent people. It is unacceptable this SO CALLED War on Terror is still happening. Has anything been achieved? Do we remember Iraq? How about you're involvement in Vietnam America? Where will you invade next North Korea, Russia or even China? Why the fuck is war always on the cars with the US and is their ever an end game, a final play, a resolution after you have tried to re-create a Wal-Mart loving, McDonalds eating, next State of America? You almost have taken over Australia with your views being expressed by every Murdoch owned newspaper, news outlet.

Oh America, I can only hope the circus that is the Republican debate/race to the key candidate continues to at least provide the likes of SNL and other comedies pure gold because it's a bit scary the so called greatest nation in the World is going to be run by a far right gun loving Texas breed freak show. It's that or who Sarah Palin is now head over feet for? Scary right, Sarah Palin is just the gift that keeps giving for Tina Fey.

American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson

Australian Networks have boasted it's the biggest week in TV, and they are right the universally acclaimed and star studded cast of American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson has just aired, and it's fucking brilliant!

The cast, flawless, the camp undertones used by Ryan Murphy, the real footage to recreate the era at the start, the soundtrack used to bring the tension, I was beyond excited this show lived up to all the hype.

John Travolta is brilliant and creepy all at once, Sarah Paulson has been given (finally) a better role in a Ryan Murphy series (her role in Hotel was all sorts of fucked up) and Cuba Gooding Jr as OJ the lead, beyond brilliant.

This is the new show of the season I was waiting for. Billions is great, Supergirl is easily the bet superhero show on TV (right now), Scream Queens was super camp and had it's moments and Blindspot is easily doing the best of all the new runs of shows.

In the Golden Era of TV Ryan Murphy's name comes up for some of the groundbreaking work he did on Glee, Nip/Tuck for a camp modern soap opera and his work in bringing the new storytelling of American Horror Story.

I am so excited to add this series to my Summer/Autumn watch list, brilliant first episode and I cannot wait till episode two.

Again Triple J's 101-200 list excites me more than the straight up 100...

So every year there are haters, people that think Taylor Swift should have made the countdown last year, people that hated on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis or the people that wish more voters voted for female vocalists.

Now I have always preferred female vocalists over males (excluding Ben Lee he is on my love list from way back when) but not everyone thinks the way I do. So when over 200,000 people vote for their ten songs, you cannot force them to vote for five male fronted groups, acts and five females. Some may vote for nine males, one female, or eight female, two male. It's all personal preference so the sexist thing is complete rubbish.

However this year when the countdown was like the Oscars, named too white. The poor Rubens, they seem like nice kids, but when it came down to it, it was a very safe countdown, a Triple J success story (the second Unearthed star to top the countdown in recent years, Vance Joy was also an unearthed star back in the day) with the Rubens topping the countdown.

The same week the Hottest 100 came out, their second list of 101-200 hit the stands HERE and I have to say there was a few more songs I enjoyed more than the traditional list.

Highlights for little old me? Well...

* Unearthed heroes of 2015 Mosquito Coast, Call my Name @ #101

* Jack Garratt, Breathe Life @ #104, UK indie joy

* Chet Faker's other jam of 2015, Bend @ #112

Final Month of (the WORST Summer in my living memory), Lunar New Year & a Hallmark Event all on they way...

I have to say a big thank fuck Summer is almost done for yet another year. I cannot say I will miss the Summer of rain, a hot day here and there and then a cloudy overcast lame day. It has been the most consistently disappointing Summer ever. Spring was amazing, Autumn will be sweet and Winter again I am sure I will complain. That said my life is pretty sweet, I live in Australia I am not in a war zone and no one is forcing me into some crazy as fuck religion, so life is a dream, just wish for better weather for the poor tourists who see promotions like Beautiful One Day, Perfect the Next.

In reality an Australian tourism promotion for Summer should be Bushfires on day, Floods the next or if you're ethnic avoid public transport and speaking in your language of choice.

Australia, Summer drunk bogans it's really the same thing, and worse is corporate drunk bogans, they can be complete cunt rags.

Ok so Summer rant done, but one of the best things about Summer is Lunar New Year (or known to some Chinese New Year), this is a time of little red envelopes, a time of fireworks a time of joy among many Asian countries and communities. I love Lunar New Year and for those in the Year of the Dog apparent last year was shit for us as Year of the Goat but Year of the Monkey, different story 2016/2017 is meant to be amazing. Fingers Crossed.

Lunar New Year is great and it leads right into Valentines Day, the day couples fork out more cash to show their love for one another, the day singles hate the world or embrace it with a party and more drinking (did I mention Australian's love to piss it up a wall above?) to drink that solo night alone.

Valentines Day is a day of hope, expectations and dreams of that man/woman or dog in Mitchell Pearce's case (no all jokes aside I will come to him) will come along and take you away for long strides along the beach, passionate S-E-X and a wedding or a commitment ceremony.

Now Mitchell Pearce, he isn't the hottest Sydney Rooster, he isn't the most unfuckable BUT this week has been so over the top. WHY is it that the man/person taking the video is not being told off for selling his friend out? Why is this person collecting (what I assume) would be a large sum of cash from trashy ACA? What on Earth were all the people who are up in arms about this doing on Australia Day like Pearce? Were they all angels and sitting at home reciting sections from the bible? Hell to the mother fucking no.

One he is a public figure, everyone has a camera on their phone, there is a quick buck for someone. Two I feel sorry (I do) for the dog and the lady in the video, that said, how many other women, animals had WORSE things done to them on Australia Day. I could say with the domestic violence in Australia right now, Mitchell Pearce would almost have been an angel reciting lines from the bible in comparison to what happened behind closed doors in Sydney's, Melbourne's even Hobart's suburbs.

You can judge Pearce all you like, he admitted he has a problem with the drink and good, now lead, men and boys look up to you, turn you're shit around and DON'T piss in your mouth like former teammate/NRL Player Todd Carney. The NRL needs to tell players, if you're going to behave badly and drink excessively make sure you're mates aren't going to sell you to the cheapest/tackiest members of the Australian Media.

I am not defending Pearce nor am I saying it's ok, but what is NOT OK is selling people out at the expense of their problems. Put yourself in a public persons shoes for five minutes, we all fuck up, we have all been that person who says something out of character but our lives aren't on the front page of every tabloid newspaper.

Come on Australia we are so much better than being the drunk nation that pretends to fuck dogs and drink ourselves into next Tuesday, as a nation let's do better. Please?
