Wanted.

Oh fuck this is BAD, real BAD. So BAD every time I write BAD it's gonna be in caps.

Why? did Channel Seven feel the need to make another sub par Rebecca Gibney drama? Just because Packed to the Rafters was a massive drama ratings hit, doesn't mean any old shit she is in is gonna be a hit. Molly (as per a previous post) I liked, Wanted I wanted to throw up.

So Rebecca Gibney's last Seven outing (aside from the mini-series about Peter Allen) Winter (what's with the one word titles starting with W, what will the next series be called, Why?) was a good idea, a spin off from a TV movie which was tried and tested. Good acting, good writing and good characters.

The show started off with just over 1.3 Million viewers, wrapped with just over 800K viewers after 6 episodes. That is almost a 50% drop off, for Wanted I predict between 60-70% drop off.

Ryan Corr is such a wasted talent in this and Stephen Peacocke is handsome as fuck but just plain wooden in this role, it's back to the school of Home & Away for you boy. You may be a pretty face and a rock hard body but that's it.

I wanted to like this and I want to support Australian drama (don't get me started on Australian Comedy - Here Come the Habib's encore screening last night was like witnessing an abortion going wrong, fuck it was poorly written, cast and when a comedy doesn't get a single laugh, there are issues, MAJOR issues) but Wanted is just plain BAD, BAD plot, BAD pilot, BAD acting, BAD future ahead and BAD choice of leaden ladies and men. Take a risk and find the next big thing instead of wheeling out Gibney at any given chance.

Wanted, I suspect a reality show on Seven will replace this and it will move time-slots, it was almost as awkward as Samantha Armytage and Kristen Davis this week. Man Sunrise can you get anymore lame from refugees to a 1990's show and making a character try and convince an audience that Sex & the City 2 was NOT the world's most cringeworthy sequel?

Come on Seven, you may be winning the ratings, but you're content still sucks a big set of hairy unshaved balls. Happy Valentine's Day...
