Film Influencer 2025 - Final Destination Bloodlines

Final Destination Bloodlines is the sixth instalment in the Final Destination film series following Final Destination 5 back in 2011.

Starring, Kaitlyn Santa Juana as a college student who inherits visions of a previous premonition that averted a deadly structural failure in 1968 from her dying grandmother and is warned that Death is coming for her family.

Also starring, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, & Tony Todd, in his last film role.

Filming took place in my old home town for a year, Vancouver from March to May 2024, following delays due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. A year later, Final Destination Bloodlines was released to generally positive reviews from critics, becoming the best-reviewed film in the franchise, and has grossed $124.2 million worldwide.

And the gory session I went to, was well attended for a sunny Saturday session. Our first sunny day in Sydney for what felt like weeks. Now it's raining again.

Anyway I did enjoy the old Devon Sawa lead film. I think I have watched the others, however I won't forget that premonition of him on board that flight!

This film built tension and death scenes well. There was also a little surprise with the actual bloodlines.

The 1960's was portrayed well with the scary, Seattle space needle style building. The tension that built during the opening scene, served the film well.

The flow of the film was also on point. It wasn't overly long, it leaves the door open for future films while being a fun standalone horror film too.

Horror is definitely in again. Bring Her Back, lands soon, as does The Ritual, Aussie film, Dangerous Animals, 28 Years Later and M3GAN 2.0.

Yep horror is in. Final Destination Bloodlines stands up solid, with 3 stars for this race to beat death film!
