Animal Kingdom Season 3.

Why have I never reviewed this show before? Two seasons in (both on Netflix in Australia) and now comes the third season on US cable network TNT. The network that was brave enough to give us three seasons of the Dallas reboot and currently screening Claws.

So after watching the first episode I am happy to say again this show returns to Netflix weekly (hooray) this time with Denis Leary joining the cast.

Spoiler ALERT warning, one character departs at the start of the season and Smurf is still in the slammer.

I enjoy this show, I saw the Australian movie it's based on twice once in Sydney and once in Adelaide because in Adelaide there was nothing to do on weekends other than seeing movies twice.

The season opener returned with a higher viewership than the season two opener and virtually equalled it's first ever episode.

I have to say it's always refreshing to see a gritty drama when all the "regular season" shows take their Summer breaks. I never knew the movie opened the story up for a long running series, but hey the creative team have done it.

Animal Kingdom features Finn Quinn, J the youngest relative in the crime family who is getting way more handsome as he grows up. And every episode they happen to get him naked or at a minimum shirtless.

As the trailer suggests we are in for an action packed third season and I for one, can't wait!
