When he arrives to find his childhood friend Jasper brutally murdered and Mandy the prime suspect, Martin struggles with doubts – about Mandy and about his own ability to recognise the truth. As he pushes forward to find the real murderer and absolve Mandy, Martin confronts secrets about Port Silver and his long-buried past.
The four episodes breeze by, set aside this beautiful beachside town. Like the ones Aussies have been flocking to these April holidays.
Scrublands gives major Black Snow vibes. There is a third book in Chris Hammers series called Trust. So fingers crossed we get a third season. Black Snow really set up another run, but Scrublands feels like one of those shows that could just continue on. Particularly when there is already a third book out there.
The Dry, Scrublands, Black Snow, Aussies love a crime drama. With a crime being solved, sorted, neatly over four episodes is a skill. The Scrublands team do an awesome job.
Let's hope Stan hurry up with their release of Sunny Nights. They are currently on a bit of a roll! More Post Holiday Blues Streaming 25' with the final season of Big Boys soon. Along with the third season of Fire Country wrapping.
