Return to Cinema 2021 - Zack Snyder's Justice League (Snyder Cut)

(Released on HBO Max in the United States on March 18, 2021, in Australia it's available on Binge)

Back in 2017 superhero film Justice League was released upon the world. I wasn't a huge fan, however now in 201 we get Zack Snyder's Justice League, often referred to as the "Snyder Cut".

Like the 2017 release, Zack Snyder's Justice League follows the Justice League. We get Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and the Flash (Ezra Miller).

The villains are Darkseid (Ray Porter), Steppenwolf (CiarĂ¡n Hinds), and their army of Parademons.

Back in 2017 Justice League received mixed reviews whilst also being a box-office bomb.

The remixed version is a four-hour film, dedicated to the memory of Snyder's daughter, Autumn.

Look we are up to our necks in superhero TV series and movies. A four hour superhero extravaganza was a bit much. After the last woeful Wonder Woman film along with a really average start to The Flash's seventh series, DC is really following massively being Marvel.

Affleck really was an awful Batman (here is hoping the next Batman in 2022 is a vast improvement) whilst Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash is really bad.

The Suicide Squad sequel film is still to come this year whilst a The Flash film is set for 2022. Also in 2022 we will score the Aquaman sequel. So we will still see some of these characters spin off from this four hour saga.

Look the shine of the original excellent Wonder Woman film can not save the current trend of DC films. I will pass this solely for Henry Cavill's exposed chest.

2.5 Stars. Catch all four hours (or close to) on Binge in Australia. Alongside the return of Mayan's MC, Superman and Lois, The Walking Dead and a number of other excellent drama series.

Tomorrow, French Exit at the actual cinemas!
