Summer Streamin' 24 - Somebody Somewhere - Season Three/Series Final

Somebody Somewhere is one of the sweetest shows to ever air/stream. In Australia all three seasons are now up on Binge. In the USA this has been the best HBO series in a bit. So funny, so wholesome, so easy to relate to.

Starring Bridget Everett, set in Manhattan, Kansas, the series follows Sam (Everett) as she returns to her hometown and navigates life after the death of her sister. Then she meets a solid group of friends over 21 episodes and things get real wholesome.

Her best friend, Jeff Hiller as Joel, shares some beautiful (and wild moments) with Sam. The ones in a friendship, we all have, if we are lucky enough to have solid friendships over the years.

Then there is her surviving sister, Mary Catherine Garrison as Tricia Miller. Whilst she is a red hot mess, she is an absolute hoot. She drinks, swears and goes rogue AF.

The relationship between the two sisters over the three seasons is beautiful to watch.

Whilst this has been a short and sweet journey on HBO for Somebody Somewhere. It has always been pleasant since day one in mid-January, 2022.

Back in June 2023, the show was renewed for a third season, by August 2024, it was confirmed the series would end after the third season. The seven episodes ran weekly from late October. 

Last night, sadly we said goodbye to Somebody Somewhere.

I will struggle to rank all the top series that have aired over the past few months. Somebody Somewhere is close to perfect TV. While also being extremely funny, raw and real.

If you need some holiday cheer, quit those dodgy holiday films and fire up Binge. Give all three seasons of Somebody Somewhere a go!
