July TV Finales - All American - Season Three

All American concluded on Stan in Australia last night, however is already set to return on October 25, 2021. Will Sydney still be in lockdown? Gladys?

I recently wrote about the spin off All American: Homecoming  but the OG series called it a night (for now) with a few big cliffhangers. Bumping its episode count up a little this season (from 16 to 19) the show expanded to launch a spin off whilst also heading to Vegas.

In February, the series was renewed for a fourth season, along with most series on The CW. It's a big week there with The Flash and Kung Fu taking a bow this week. Which really frees up my dance card.

All American is one of few non superhero shows on The CW. Whilst it's not as trashy as Dynasty or as political as Republic of Sarah, it's actually a lot of fun. The show has a bit too much teen drama some episodes, when it should maybe focus on the sporting nature of the series.

However I think season four can drop a bit of the high school drama as college storylines look like they are on the way. For a full in-depth recap (although watch out for spoilers) click here.

All American will never win any Emmys however earlier on in the season the series did deal well with police brutality against people of colour.

All three seasons of All American stream now on Stan whilst All American: Homecoming will most likely land in early 2022. So this lockdown if you are looking for a sports drama this Olympic season (congrats Brisbane on 2032) with some teen drama thrown in for good measure, this could be for you.

Tomorrow it's time to farewell The Flash. I think coming into season 8, the show is heading to final season territory.
