After reading more about Wilderness I was happy to see this was classed as a miniseries, streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The British six episode run is based on the novel of the same name by B. E. Jones.
Starring Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, this landed on Amazon mid last month. So I am slowly catching up on my streaming whilst the actors strike continues. But for how much longer?
So what is Wilderness all about? Is it just based on Taylor Swifts hit Look What You Made Me Do?
Liv and Will Taylor are a young British couple whose marriage is threatened when Liv sees a message on Will's mobile phone revealing his affair with a co-worker. Heartbreak quickly turns into fury and revenge.
Yep it's another revenge miniseries/series based on a woman being wronged. We see Liv and Will take a road trip then head back to NYC.
By episode four and into five the plot is getting a bit thin. Originally I thought it was eight episodes, however I was happy to see the closing scene in episode six as Liv returned to the site of the crime.
This was not the best or worst miniseries I have watched this year. It did take revenge to a new level with multiple plot twists and turns.
Next up I will talk Halloween and horror hitting our small screens. From Chucky to the American Horror Story/Stories brand. Horror is definitely in, this spooky season!
