Scorchin' Summer Streamin' 25 - The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox - Miniseries

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox concluded this Wednesday gone on Disney+. It's been a busy period on Disney.

With Reasonable Doubt back, Only Murders in the Building back for a fifth season and High Potential representing the US network series. All Rise from Ryan Murphy will also land soon.

This true crime biographical drama miniseries created by K.J. Steinberg, is based on the true story of Amanda Knox and her wrongful conviction in the murder of Meredith Kercher. 

Starring Grace Van Patten as Knox, as well as Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico, John Hoogenakker, & Roberta Mattei.

Across eight-episodes, the series landed on Hulu late August, following the eponymous American college student, who arrives in Italy for her study abroad only to be wrongfully imprisoned for murder weeks later.

The series traces Amanda’s relentless fight to prove her innocence and reclaim her freedom, and examines why authorities and the world stood so firmly in judgment.

I never really followed this case super closely, however I found this a fairly easy watch.

It was a train watch for me to focus on the English subtitles with episodes one - six being very heavily in Italian.

Fun fact: Monica Lewinsky is an executive producer for this series.

This doesn't fit with my other Scorchin' Summer Streamin' 25 posts that focus largely on comedy thus far. However this coming week Peacemaker concludes next week. I have no idea what HBO Max will stream next. Outside of their parent company HBO's Task. HBO Max is looking a little light on content right now.
