Doctor, Doctor is...

Australian TV at it's worst. Uninspired, dull and to be brutally honest this may be fundamentally another hospital drama but I feel the health of this show is on the verge of flatlining.

Opening up to below 800,000 viewers is not ideal in Aussie TV terms, putting it into perspective, this show was the 11th most watched show of the night behind the ABC news, The Block, the finale of Offspring (another lacklustre Aussie drama which may be getting the chop) and the penultimate episode of the Bachelor.

I always request more drama on Australian TV however if this is all we have to offer, maybe fast track the new USA fall seasons of their hit dramas.

The Wrong Girl the latest Jessica Marais drama vehicle launches on Network Ten 28 September and hopefully has more legs than this Roger Corser drama.

Doctor Doctor has a good cast and Nicole DeSilva is one of my favourite Wentworth babes but this show does not give her anywhere near the material she has to work with on the Foxtel hit series.

I am not sure how quickly Nine will rush Doctor Doctor to wrap up after a less than groundbreaking Love Child Season.

Channel Nine has some soul searching to do in it's drama department, with House Husbands rested until 2017 and only having one of it's last season being watch by a million plus, it's time to some serious questions.

Doctor Doctor airs on Wednesday nights up against some fierce competition on ABC and the other free to air networks.
