Wentworth Season 8.

Wentworth is back! Tuesday night's are Teal Tuesdays once more!

Titled Wentworth: Redemption, a lot of your old favourite cast are out, with a few new ones joining the prison in Victoria.

Blockbuster casting continues with Ann Reynolds (Jane Hall), Lou Kelly (Kate Box), Judy Bryant (Vivienne Awosoga), Reb Keane (Zoe Terakes), and Sheila Bausch (Marta Dusseldorp) joining the show.

With a few spoilers, yes the Freak aka Joan Ferguson (now living under the pseudonym Kath Maxwell) so who was in the coffin?

Out of Marie or Ruby who will die?

Will Allie be the top dog for the season or will returning top dog Lou Kelly (Kate Box) return to the crown?

With Vera returning to the prison following the birth of Grace, can she keep Will employed with new boss Ann Reynolds (Jane Hall) wanting him out? Please keep Will he only gets hotter with age.

The season will be ten episodes set to conclude on 29 September 2020. Usually late September all the big USA shows would return.... Not this year though at this stage. Wentworth is also paused on filming season nine too.

Season nine will be the end game too, so expect one hell of a cliffhanger late September followed by a massive wrap up final season (fingers crossed) in 2021.

The show has a huge following and I for one was in love with episode one of season eight. The robbery/chase Lou Kelly (Kate Box)/Reb Keane (Zoe Terakes) introduction was an opening start to the season. It also felt like a bit of a reboot with a pile of new characters to get to know.

We do however need to find out how the Freak did it. Please let us know early in the season so the show remains believable and not too quick to jump the shark.

This could be the Australian drama of 2020! Mark my words, Tuesday nights put the phone on silent, stop working from home and get into some top notch drama!
