January La Première - Servant (Season Two)

Servant is back on Apple TV+ following its first season which debuted back in November 2019.

The series created and written by Tony Basgallop, who also executive produced alongside M. Night Shyamalan. The series follows Dorothy and Sean Turner, a Philadelphia couple who hire a girl named Leanne to be the nanny for their baby son, Jericho. Leanne's arrival brings about strange and frightening occurrences for the couple.

Servant stars Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Nell Tiger Free, and Rupert Grint as a tight knit cast. Last month ahead of the second season premiere, the series was renewed for a third season. So far I believe this will be Apple TV+ 's longest running show.

Season two is set to conclude on March 19, 2021, giving us ten weeks of drama to look forward to. My free years (which turned into a year plus 3 months or so) is set to end soon and I am undecided whether to keep another subscription.

I recently decided Binge was worthy of paying for, but does Apple TV+ have enough content to keep me keen?

If Servant sounds new to you, here is a brief catch up on the plot.

Six weeks after the death of their 13-week-old son, Philadelphia couple Dorothy and Sean Turner hire a young nanny, Leanne, to move in and take care of their baby, Jericho, a reborn doll.

The doll, which Dorothy believes is her real child, was the only thing that brought her out of her catatonic state following Jericho's death. While Sean deals with the grief on his own, he becomes deeply suspicious of Leanne.

Airing week to week on Apple TV+, Servant Season Two is streaming now, Fridays.
