Return to Cinema 2021 - Shadow in the Cloud

Well, well, well, I thought Monster Hunter was fucking weird, however Shadow in the Cloud is possibly weirder. Also take the monster out add in a gremlin. Yep a gremlin.

Frecking hell!  Chloë Grace Moretz almost stars alone in a one woman film (well it could almost be a HBO TV episode, it clocks in at 83 minutes) excluding the opening and closing ten or so minutes.

Also starring is Love Simon, Love Victor and recent A Teacher star Nick Robinson, alongside Aussie ick Robinson, Taylor John Smith and Beulah Koale.

The plot is sketchy at best. I think it's set in World War II air force service woman who is on a mysterious mission, only to have a gremlin attack the bomber she is riding on.

The film aired at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival, whilst in various territories it was released at cinemas January 1, 2021.

It came out last week in Australia and I think due to the number of current sessions (like Music) it may be over before we know it. There are a few excellent looking Australian films hitting the screens this week and next. So expect a more positive film review soon. Not to mention Liam Neeson is already back at the cinema!

Shadow in the Cloud randomly has decent reviews (according to Wikipedia) however it's not decent, it's average at best.

2 Stars, both for Chloë Grace Moretz, remember her dropping a C bomb in the first Kick-Ass film.
