Deliver Us from Evil landed in Australia recently, whilst in native South Korea. It was a commercial success, once it finally made the cinemas. As it was scheduled to open in early July, the film hit cinemas early August 2020.
The action film written and directed by Hong Won-Chan, starring Hwang Jung-min, Lee Jung-jae and Park Jung-min.
The basic plot is, In-nam, a hitman who plans to retire after completing a final hit, but finds himself linked to a kidnapping case in Thailand and targeted by Ray, the man whose sibling he assassinated. The film was shot in Thailand, South Korea and Japan, with almost 80 percent of the filming done in Thailand.
I loved some of the seriously bad ass action scenes. From tuk tuk chases and hand grenades to knife battles. This films action sequences where top notch. A tight less than two hour action marathon Deliver Us from Evil is well above average.
