What am I wanting from JJ (Double J) this Wednesday?

It's been going around for a while, the idea of Triple J for fully grown adults, now this Wednesday it lands, Double J with the one and only Myf Warhurst. Former Breakfast (not her high point of her JJJ career) announcer and Spicks & Specks queen.

Back in the day Myf hosted a wicked lunch quiz, giggled her way through playing some killer jams before making way for some younger and less inspiring presenters.

Triple J has always given us a wide range of outstanding announcers/personalities over the years and programs to boot. Bring on the Net 50 again, Creatures of the Spotlight anyone? Or the days of Mornings with Sarah McDonald mixed with news and current affairs that really worked between 9am and Noon.

I am really hoping Double J will shake things up as Sydney is now littered with 3 identical commercial FM stations and talkback rednecks all over the AM band.

Double J is something I am really excited about, as a music lover, a lover of all things 90's and early 00's I think this can only be a good thing.

Head on over to my other more musically focused BLOG for commentary on the digital channel and also my brief encounter with Groovin the Moo 2014 at Maitland Showgrounds. Yes the festival season is winding up and after all the festivals I ended up doing more than expected by visiting:

Laneway Festival - Got to love Haim

Future Music Festival - Why does Pharrell sound so good on record and not live? Oh that's right he is a true super producer.

Groovin' the Moo - Oh Dizzee RASCAL!
