The Equalizer is the hit Queen Latifah series on CBS. Getting its second season run out of the way this Sunday gone. It's been a big finale week already. With CBS continuing to keep The Equalizer on Sunday nights for two more seasons. Yes, the series has been renewed for a third and fourth season!
Alongside Queen Latifah, the action procedural stars Liza Lapira, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles whilst Jada Pickett Smith also guest stars in an episode in the second season.
Social issues like Black Lives Matter, Stop Asian Hate and general Karen behaviour were all explored in this 18 episode supersized second season.
I enjoyed the series, the take on social issues including a school yard revenge porn situation. It covered a lot this year, with Queen Latifah also having a much longer running series than her former Star co-star Brandy, who's Queens gotta the boot after one, lonely season.
Season two saw some episodes getting over 10 million viewers after 7 day catch ups. Which in a quickly declining US network ratings game, that is a decent figure.
The Equalizer will likely return for a third season towards the end of 2022. Next up, a 9-1-1 double finale wrap up.
