The (Non) Masked (Home) Cinema 2022 - All the Old Knives

All the Old Knives is a surprise little spy thriller film directed by Janus Metz Pedersen landing on Amazon Prime, on April 8, 2022.

So when up on the Coast recently for a pre-Mother's Day visit, this was an easy family watch.

Recently I mentioned 2022 wasn't the best year for films (thus far).

Streaming is one of the reasons behind this, so when the streaming giants are also branded as Amazon Studios (in this case) it's a worrying time for cinemas, film studios. Although look at Disney, they are living their best lives with big Marvel releases, along with a top streaming service.

All the Old Knives is written by Olen Steinhauer, based on Steinhauer's 2015 novel of the same name.

Starring Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton (Westworld) , Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Pryce and David Dawson.

It's an all star cast in a tight little 101 minute thriller. The dialogue is fairly classy whilst the acting is great. Newton and Pine work well together whilst the story keeps you locked in for the full run time.

If you have Amazon Prime I highly recommend this. 3 Stars.
