Like bookstores I am finding it ever more likely that Commerical Radio is on the way out.

Yes I have been silent long enough, the 2Day FM scandal has been HUGE, we pissed off the mother country with an prank that no one at the station may have the outcomes that have since come about.

Yes 2Day FM is no stranger to controversy with their delightful larger bride who presents Breakfast alongside the dreamy yet highly dense Jackie O.

In 2012 it has been a shocking year for commercial radio with Alan Jones being caught with his pants down (again and this time not in a male public toilet George Michael style) and Kyle earning the new nickname Vile Kyle. However after weighing in around 130KG I still prefer fat c%$t.

With almost everyone in Sydney and beyond now in possession in some form of smartphone loaded with loads of (illegally downloaded or legal from the over priced Apple store) music. Most iPhones, iPods can store days maybe even weeks of great music that you the listener can tune into at your own pace.

For me listening to Alpine then Azealia Banks followed by some Icona Pop without mindless chat, celebrity gossip (usually unreasearched and full of speculation) and then we come to the advertisements.

In 2012 we are saturated with advertising so when enjoying music do you really want to hear about the latest deals at Harvey Norman or what's going down @ Coles?

I think as technology has changed, people have moved on and online radio and smartphones are the new kings, your Southern Cross radio's and 2GB's need to releaise content is king and when your content is aimed at the morally bankrupt and mentally challenged your fighting an uphill battle. Not only does 2Day FM's playlist smell like the fish markets on a hot summer's day (maybe some lesbians may be turned on at this point, but each to yo own) but their presenters appear to becoming more and more bogan.

It's sad to say but one of my loves (radio) is dying off, music lives but it has some many other avenues now and your 2Day FM's, your Nova (sounds similar) and Smooth FM's have really been left on the wayside along with Darrell Lea, Dymocks & now Fitness First's. It is now the non ratings period and I have a funny feeling Kyle & Jackie O will be returning to a luke warm reception.

I would like to finish off by saying thank god in Australia we are blessed with the ABC and given an alternative to the mundane and very average commercial radio landscape. Thank you JJJ for making no prank calls today, playing local music, having outstanding announcers and having news on the hour every hour.

To the two who remain nameless, I watched you on ACA (god help me) and you disgusted me, it's a lesson for everyone, think about your actions and the consequences that may happen, if only Tony Abbott and Christopher Pyne believed in this simple but true statement.

R.I.P Jacintha Saldanha

2Day FM enough is enough, 14 year old girls on lie detectors, sexist remarks and now prank calls, come on, fair go either replace your current vile programs with intelligent programming or maybe in future think about the lives you so often ruin.
