What's On @ the Movies 2013 - The Impossible {Australian Preview}

This film was released in Spain late last year as this Spanish film in English directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and stars some pretty impressive actors.  Naomi Watts is so killer in this role, she definitely deserves any nominations/awards that roll her way.  Ewan McGregor is great and young Tom Holland is just spectacular.

After seeing Les Mis and feeling nothing for the main characters this was the total opposite during "The Impossible".  You feel the every injury, every emotion you just sit there and try to hold back the tears when Naomi Watts is on the screen.  Tom Holland also has moments where your heart just breaks.

The massive scenes in this movie are done so well the moment the wave hits it's just this huge cinema moment that if you saw this movie on DVD @ home it would lose so much.

This movie is totally engaging and such an emotional roller coaster, I really hope for Naomi Watts she takes home some awards for this role as this could be the role of her career, true story, amazing tale of survival, just amazing.

I can't simply say enough good things about this film, yes in parts it was hard to watch, the over crowded hospitals in Thailand, the peoples injuries after the waves hit.  This could easily be my film of the Summer, so engaging, so real and such human spirit.

Remember the tissues, remember this really happened to one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

Even watching back the trailer stirs up emotions, the Impossible, possibly a contender for my favourite film of 2013.

4.75 heartbreaking stars.
