Big TV Week

Last week saw (USA dates/days) 9-1-1 Season 3 premiere on Monday, Tuesday the 24th September, we got Empire's final season premiere, whilst The Masked Singer Season 2 kicked off, here in Australia the show is doing great business!

By Thursday, How to Get Away With Murder got it's final season started and Friday The Politician launched Ryan Murphy's Netflix $300 million dollar contract!

With all these network shows commencing, some cable shows were coming to late Summer finishes, whilst some were getting closer to their season conclusions.

Mondays - The Deuce is coming very quickly to an end in it's third and final season.

Tuesdays - Mayan's MC in it's second long winded season is at the halfway point of it's sophomore year.

Wednesdays - American Horror Story is currently taking us back to 1984, with slasher films front and centre.

Thursdays - Australian series on FX Mr Inbetween is currently about to reach the midway point of it's larger second season totalling an eight episode count, up two episodes from it's first season.

Fridays - Room 104 is currently in it's bizarre third season, apparently talks are on the way for a fourth season at HBO. This week on NBC, The Blacklist starts a week later than other network TV mentions above. This marks the seventh season of the long running, crime thriller.

Sundays - Premium TV is always on Sundays, Fear the Walking Dead concluded the most dull Walking Dead franchise season yet. Universally panned, I am shocked it will return in 2020 for a sixth season. The audience is almost as dead as the walkers on the actual show. Speaking of walkers, The Walking Dead returns for season ten this weekend.

HBO is about to say goodbye to Ballers, it has just two weeks left of the Rock's comedy. It's been a fun ride, with great music, but it's time to go. HBO is also celebrating a strong second season of Succession, the show has already been renewed for a 2020 third season. The show like Ballers only has two remaining episodes this year.

Power is also in it's final sixth season on Starz or in Australia heavily promoted on Stan. The show will be spilt in two parts for it's final outing, I believe part one of the season concludes early November, however I am not sure when the final few episodes will return.

Another show wrapping up is the strange final season of The Affair, the flash forwards to Anna Paquin as Alison's daughter is just strange.

The show is due to conclude in November.

Sunday also sees the return and final season of Mr Robot comes back for it's biggest season yet. Yes all 13 episodes are coming at you from this Sunday.

The CW also kicks off it's 2019-2020 run with a new series, the much talked about Batwoman with Australia's own Ruby Rose. Whilst seeing Supergirl return for it's fifth season.

The CW also launches next week Black Lightening (airing in Australia on Netflix), The Flash returns Tuesdays, Wednesday Riverdale is now joined by new series Nancy Drew and Friday sees the most trashy CW show Dynasty return, YASS!

Who could want anything else, not to mention all the streaming services including Australian newcomer Ten All Access with camp Marc Cherry drama Why Women Kill.

Till next post, boy bye!
