Cinema Slut #2019 - Zombieland: Double Tap

Does it help if you saw the first Zombieland film? Dunno cause I went into this film, my second in two days without seeing the first film which was released all the way back in 2009....

With an all star cast featuring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone this film makes fun of The Walking Dead, life in the White House and hippies, all valid targets.

Avan Jogia is also great as a hippie called Berkeley, I really liked him in the now cancelled series Now Apocalypse. I am always sad when one and done series just come and go whilst shows like Empire, How to Get Away with Murder and more drag on for six seasons, filled with filler episodes and dull cast members/storylines.



Anyway does the word need more Zombie films or TV? No as The Walking Dead will soon release their third (and most likely) tiresome series which looks like The Walking Dead: Millennials edition from the trailer.

The laughs in this are worth the cost of admission, Emma Stone is finally starting to redeem herself, whilst Luke Wilson is not as annoying as previous roles.

Rosario Dawson also continues to kick ass despite the fact all her Marvel Claire Temple days are well and truly over. Speaking of over Thomas Middleditch also makes an appearance as Wilson's mirror image sidekick of Jesse Eisenberg to Woody Harrelson.

Thomas Middleditch starts his final season of Silicon Valley this weekend.

Zombieland: Double Tap is not the best film of the year, however it's a bit of fun, 3 Stars.
