That Movie Gay #2016

Back in 2010 we saw Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, now years later we get the sequel no one was asking for ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS.

The 2010 was a massive hit at the Box Office but this one has just made budget and even a few weeks after release and some shocking reviews I have a feeling this movie will soon disappear from Australian screens.

At first this movie is a visual feast for the eye with eye popping special effects and CGI madness but the plot gets thinner than Janet Jackson pre an album release.

The cast is decent and Ed Speleers is rather easy on the eye as James Harcourt but Johnny Depp (as much as he has been in the news far too much of late) as the Mad Hatter wears thin fast. Local Aussie star Mia Wasikowska has had more engaging roles and Helena Bonham Carer & Anne Hathaway just waltz through there respective roles.

I was underwhelmed by this film, but in all honesty I had low expectations and these low expectations were meet. This is a sequel which was only made out of greed I believe, 2 Stars for some outstanding costumes and visuals, but very bleak character development and storyline. Hopefully not TMNT2 will not be this much of a snorefest up next.
