@ the Movies 2012 - Careless Love

Directed by John Duigan who directed the following feature films Sirens (nude fun in the mountains), The Year my Voice Broke & more.  In this film he attempts to show how one young girl (Nammi Le) makes her way through uni and prostitution.

She works for an oriental call girl agency and then she meets another young uni student who she quickly moves in with.

She tries to hide her career from her family, her friends and her boyfriend.

The movie was a lot more enjoyable than the last Aussie film I sat through (Wish You Were Here) and I really wanted to like this and although it was slightly lame in parts it was really enjoyable for the most part.

Nammi Le is wonderful and vulnerable in this role.  Peter 'Brien puts a shocking US accent on for one of Le's best customers.

In a whole this movie won't get the Aussie movie scene back on track but I saw a trailer for the Sapphires which looks spectacular (I'll post it below) but this film does achieve something, it shows Australia in 2012, multicultural, diverse and Sydney looks wonderful on the big screen.

Careless Love rates a pass mark of 3 Sydney Stars.

@ the Movies 2012 - Men in Black 3

So was a third Men in Black movie required?  Probably not, but it sure was fun, well not the 3D edition because I'm a cheap prick.

Well the other thing I noticed was how hot in Will Smith in 2012?  He really is ageing well and is just getting more and more damn sexy, no wonder that man tried to kiss him on the red carpet.

So action movies need to reach a high standard now, already in 2012 The Avengers has reached new heights by the critics, the new Gi-Joe movie looks tops and the final Batman installment from Christopher Nolan will definitely pack a punch.  And I didn't even mention the new rebooted version of Spiderman coming soon.

Gosh so many movies so little time.

Thank god for holidays soon and lot's of movies on my flights :)

So back to the review, it wasn't too long, good, it was good enough with some tight action sequences and the plot was quite believable and decent for a movie about aliens and time travel.

It has been a bumper movie weekend and the Dictator was definitely my favourite and I think this would come in second (Mainly for Smith), the Woman in Black just didn't cut it.

That said Men in Black 3 rates a star for each film in the franchise, that is 3 stars for all the dummies out there.

Ronny Chieng - The Ron Way

How much comedy is enough?  NEVER!  And my first time at Sydney's Comedy Club was grand.  I have wanted to see Ronny Chieng for a while now and last night was my lucky night.

Ronny was filming the whole show so it had an extra cool vibe.  Ronny delivered time and time again.  He worked the room he had so much confidence about talking about ethnic issues, beating children and his trip to Perth.  Some might think beating children is extreme to talk about and a little taboo but when you see the way some children behave in public, he has a fair point.

Again going back to the Dictator in your face, confronting comedy is sometimes the best.  Ronny delivers well and enjoys all the audience participation that comes with stand up.  He is quick, witty and a Law Student LOL

So Ronny Chieng, worth all the awards, yes and the rest.  Loved the merchandise and this is one comedian I really wish all the best to.  Had a good night laughing to some funny old tales.

4 laugh all the way to Malaysia stars.

@ the Movies 2012 - The Woman in Black

Starring an all grown up Daniel Radcliffe this movie is a supernatural thriller down to the tee.  Yes this movie has all the scares and all the jumps scenes I expect in the next Paranormal Activity installment.

The idea is kinda spooky and the movie is overly dark.  I mean the scenes are all set against very dark settings and the cast wears equally dark and dull clothes to match the mode and the setting.

Was it enjoyable, yes and it did in fact keep me on the edge of my seat.  Where will all these supernatural films ends, I really wish I saw the stage show of this cause I think it would have been pretty hard to pull off on a theatre stage.

The Woman in Black has an enjoyable support cast and for an hour and a half it does keep your attention.  This little old film rates 3 black stars.

44 Days till holidays, 44 songs that will shape 2012

So I'm heading off to Bangkok, Dubai, Scotland and Spain for my 30th in 44 days and in no particular order I am listing 50 songs released in 2012 (or mega late 2011) that will shape 2012 and beyond, so listen up here is the 7th song choice of mine. Today is my fourth AUSSIE pick and it's a Sunday afternoon/late morning gem.

44 DAYS TILL I WATCH SO MANY MOVIES MY EYES WILL BLEED ON EMIRATES

Gossling shoot to fame with her work on 360's then album track "Boys Like You", the song was so popular it was released as a single and is now his most popular single to date.

Gossling has been around for a while and hails from Victoria. Her most recent EP "International Living" spawned today's little diamond. It's warm fuzzy and makes you all warm with her lush vocals on a winter day.

Gossling is divine and let's take a listen to her now, happy Sunday folks.

Now let's chill with the music video:

Until tomorrow's tune enjoy some more reviews as yesterday was entertainment packed!  Yes that's right comedy and a supernatural thriller, what a day in old Sydney town.

Also had the Zumbo dessert train at the Star last night, thank god I ran for 5.5 km's yesterday morning, oh boy!

@ the Movies 2012 - The Dictator

Oh Sacha Baron Cohen, he is back and most sexist, racist and more outta control than ever.  A lot of the funny bits from this movie however are in the trailer which is usually the way with comedies in 2012 but look this is a film worth seeing why?  Because the end explains even through America is not run by a Dictator they are still in a pretty fucked up position.

Baron Cohen is smart with his delivery and Anna Faris is really coming along well.  Since she never had much cred after doing a million Scary Movie rip off films this is nice to she her shine as a bit of a Newtown type.

This even though sexist and racist is a likable film, you do laugh, you know it's wrong but the world has become so sensitive it takes real balls to say hey world wake the fuck up and have a laugh, it won't kill you.

I am finding more and more I LOVE comedy and this is the type I like, rude, crude and in your face.  Americans won't get it, Women will hate it and if your sensitive stay the hell away from this film.

Baron Cohen has succeeded after Bruno was only so so, this Dictator is a constant laugh, 3 and a half executed stars, see the BELOW:

45 Days till holidays, 45 songs that will shape 2012

So I'm heading off to Bangkok, Dubai, Scotland and Spain for my 30th in 45 days and in no particular order I am listing 50 songs released in 2012 (or mega late 2011) that will shape 2012 and beyond, so listen up here is the 6th song choice of mine. Today is my third AUSSIE pick and it's a fully sick PARTY tune to get y'all ready for the night ahead!

45 DAYS TILL I SHOP UP A STORM @ A BANGKOK MARKET!

I totally love the music video for this dance floor smash it's like a African Fast & the Furious movie, it's well wicked!

The tune by duo Mathew Gill and John Courtidis who only formed in late 2011 is just a smash, introducing Parachute Youth's "Can't Get Better Than This" and quiet frankly at the moment this is one of the best dance anthems of 2012.

Unlike yesterday's tune by Xavier Rudd this song packs a massive punch and makes you listen the fuck up.

As I said above the video is DOPE, check it below and get your dancing shoes on for tonight, I'll see you @ the Comedy Store :)

Now moving quickly onto some of the BEST new releases prior to the weekend and first up Australia's first lady in POP dropped this Timebomb:

46 Days till holidays, 46 songs that will shape 2012

So I'm heading off to Bangkok, Dubai, Scotland and Spain for my 30th in 46 days and in no particular order I am listing 50 songs released in 2012 (or mega late 2011) that will shape 2012 and beyond, so listen up here is the 5th
song choice of mine. Today is my second AUSSIE pick and it's totally chilled and a nice Friday tune to totally unwind and get ready for the weekend.

46 DAYS TILL I ATTEMPT SOME SPANISH HOLA!

Now to this chilled number from a forthcoming album called Spirit Bird which will be out next month from Melbourne born artist Xavier Rudd.  This song has really gotten out there for Xavier Rudd, he has released great music in the past but this is kinda getting mainstream and getting out to the greater public.

Shall we take a listen to this little gem "Follow the Sun":

And the video is pretty sublime too:

So we get closer to the weekend and I hope you continue to enjoy some little gems of 2012.

Enjoy the weekend and stay out of this glamorous Sydney weather.

47 Days till holidays, 47 songs that will shape 2012

Yeah so if you didn't know (I mustn't like ya much) but I'm heading off OS for my 30th in 47 days and in no particular order I am listing 50 songs released in 2012 (or mega late 2011) that will shape 2012 and beyond, so listen up here is the fourth
song choice of mine. Today is my first AUSSIE pick and it's DOPE!

47 DAYS TILL TILL I SHOOT A PING PONG BALL OUT MY ***

Early February 2012 out of the Blue Mountains came some HYPERPARADISE, the duo from the mountains released their fourth disc and from it was a KILLER title track.  Hyperparadise just sticks a punch and makes you really love this divine groove.

Hermitude have been at it for a while but this is pure gold.

They don't have a video for this tune yet but their previous one is so amazing I had to feature it.  "Speak of the Devil" was a JJJ favourite last year and the lead dancer is pretty f'n hot.

And how funny is the State of Origin up roar it's almost as laughable as Bikie Wars and the fact that this is totally a poor man's Underbelly.

Stay tuned tomorrow as we near another day closer to my Sex & the City style trip to Dubai.

48 Days till holidays, 48 songs that will shape 2012

Yeah so if you didn't know (I mustn't like ya much) but I'm heading off OS for my 30th in 48 days and in no particular order I am listing 50 songs released in 2012 (or mega late 2011) that will shape 2012 and beyond, so listen up here is the third song choice of mine.  Tempted to pick Prince's cover of Alicia Key's however that is not on the cards, I feel me some "Bad Girls" ACTION!

48 DAYS TILL I'M ALL HOMO ON YO ASS IN DUBAI

Late Summer 2012 a song released on January 31, a tune called "Bad Girls" landed on the radio and all over the net, yes M.I.A was back and ready to rock it out with a big song that packs a punch like "XXXO" did.

"Bad Girls" is BIG, nasty and a great tune, I love the way M.I.A even after her horrid appear on Madonna's flat MDNA album comes out on top with this tune.

So M.I.A is my third new 2012 pick, who will tomorrow's be?  I'll give you a video now to get your dessert groove on:

Coming up still this week, maybe a spot of comedy, maybe some more new music and of course the best and fairest 20 of the week.

Enjoy Origin game one tonight NSW & QLD.

A Night with PRINCE

2012 is interesting in music, there is artists who appear on reality TV and make it big for five minutes and then there are artists who have been around for decades and still kill it, and Prince well as he said last night is a real musician.

He also said I have so many hits I could be here all night :)

So on his Welcome 2 Australia tour, I caught Prince's fourth Sydney show (including the episode @ the Ivy).  It was a grand evening of lush music and disco grooves.

His cover of Alicia Key's "Why Don't You Call Me Anymore" was simply supreme, Alicia would have been proud.  He had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hands with "Purple Rain" to start.

"1999" seven tracks in got the party going!  "Cream" took me back to when I first saw him all those years ago when Diamonds and Pearls was massive.  "Kiss" near the end was great and the crowd was loving it.

The show was long and the hits were many.  My only complaint was the jamming and running around wasting time when hits like "Controversy" and others were missed.

Prince really is EPIC and look let's face it he ain't coming back anytime soon.  Could Prince have saved the Big Day Out ticket sales last year, YES, could Prince work at a music festival, NO! is Prince still on top of his game, HELL YES and Prince shows this Voice upstarts that if you can't play the piano, dance, play the guitar, write killer songs like "Nothing Compares 2 U" and have the best band in the world you may as well fuck off.

Prince rates a healthy big 4 stars for his Allphones Arena show.

49 Days till holidays, 49 songs that will shape 2012

Yeah so if you didn't know (I mustn't like ya much) but I'm heading off OS for my 30th in 49 days and in no particular order I am listing 50 songs released in 2012 (or like yesterday mega late 2011) that will shape 2012 and beyond, so listen up here is the second song choice of mine (way better than The Voice song choices last night - well so some people tell me)
49 DAYS TILL WEARIN' A KILT WITH NO PANTIES ON

Can I stay American and get my Sleigh Bells on.  It's almost Christmas and it's time for a slammin' tune that demands your balls and slams them down on the ground!

The Sleigh Bells, here they are with Comeback Kid, released January 17, 2012 and from the under valued album Reign of Terror.

Check the video out below too it's MAD as.

Okay until tomorrow, enjoy listening/viewing some of my picks of 2012!  See some of you witches @ Prince tonight!

Fat Swan

Runs @ the Seymour Centre until Saturday THIS WEEK

This show is great, I haven't seen anything musical in a while and I never think I have been to a panto.  So Fat Swan was a new revalation.

Trevor Ashley is really amazing and Brendan Moar is truly great.  Geneieve Lemon is amazing as her two roles.  And the lovely young lady who plays Mila Cunts is amazing.

With lot's of laughs lots of one liners and lot's of energy on stage this is a not to be missed show.

Sydney has been lacking great shows lately and after hearing the reviews of an Officer and a Gentlemen it looks like Fat Swan is a rude n crude saving grace.

Fat Swan is fun, funny and pokes fun at a movie which wouldn't know what fun is.  Trevor Ashley's Fat Swan rates four fat little swines.

50 DAYS TILL BANG MY COCK!

Sleep tight bitches

On the Bus - King Street, Newtown...

Sometimes being a passenger and not a walker along one of Sydney's busiest strips you notice so much more and take in a totally different point of view.

King Street, Newtown is one of the most interesting streets and destinations in Sydney's Inner West.  It is a journey and a destination you get to after the City Road run and you've left Broadway for dust.

King Street starts off like a Uni student hot spot and then moves into hotel, restaurants, Thai Town, random clothe stalls and a for lease district that changes more often than a hookers panties.

King Street by my selected soundtrack of Kate Miller-Heidke's wonderful new disc "Nightflight" it's a wonderful disc which is really growing on me and totally set the mood as the bus moved at a snails pace up the busy and bustling street.

I don't know how many times since my time in Sydney have I walked this street and how many restaurants I have been to which are now long gone.  The changes this street goes through are sometimes major and sometimes brief.  The CD stores have been reduced from three to one with Hum winning the war.  The Dendy is getting a major upgrade and last night Thai Pothong was as busy as ever and with around 6 birthday parties held there including the one I was at this Thai restaurant still has the crown in Newtown.

The people in Newtown and particularly King Street always interest me.  It has gone from the indie end of town to the new Gay Town to the Uni hang out, to now anything goes and the with the real estate prices as insane as ever it's becoming a trendy new and more indie version of Balmain.

I loved my trip to Newtown on the bus on a Saturday, people watching, seeing how Sydney changes and how I have no idea why Today Tonight and A Current Affair constantly say no one has or is spending any money when everyone is out dropping major coin on food, wine and god knows what else.

So if you feel like a bus trip and a awesome soundtrack, look no further:

Can Kate Miller be my album of the year, I only have one nomination so far and being almost the mid year mark and tax time, I smell another nomination soon, stay tuned.

A quick week in review, tomorrow night FAT SWAN, Tuesday it's time to Cream with PRINCE & maybe even some surprises along the way, until then see y'all.....

XOXO It's TV Season Finales Galore

Last night Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries finished up on the ABC for it's first series, will it be back for series 2?

During the week I watched the very last AMAZING episode of Desperate Housewives.  It wrapped up it's 8th and final ever season with a great episode showcasing just how wonderful this show was over it's long TV life.

This week Revenge finishes up for it's first series and it really is losing steam fast.  Will the final episode be grand or a grand disappointment!  Let's see a preview:

I will be very interested to see how this plays out as it's already renewed for season number two.

Also this week the lacklustre but lately FAB season 3 of Glee winds up and here is a look at how the episode titles Goodbye gets ready for season 4:

Glee has had a strange ride but this season has really been the opposite to Revenge it's only got better as the season has gone on.  Ten dollars on the fact that their will be a Donna Summer tribute in season 4.

Also renewed for it's 6th and final season Gossip Girl.  Yes those rich kids from NYC will get one more outing.

Unfortunately the following will NOT be returning anytime soon:

Alcatraz
One Tree Hill
Ringer
Good Christian Bitches
The Secret Circle
Pam Am

And that's a wrap for now, tomorrow a new fat 20 tunes and after Monday night you will get a full review of Fat Swan the return season.

In the meantime have yourself a blissful weekend!

@ the Movies 2012 - Wish You Were Here

Oh Australia, what is going wrong with drama series on TV and now feature long movies, this movie with a short running time felt like it went for hours upon hours.  Edgeton was great as the main male on the screen but both female leads were just difficult to watch.

It wasn't just the acting it was the cutting back and forth and then back again to something we had seen.

It is totally not the image I have of holidays in South East Asia and if you choose to be a fuck wit and do drugs in countries where we know there policy on such an activity you must be even more of a fuck wit.

So overall Wish You Were Here was a bit of a task to sit through the entire film.  I wanted to like this so much but it just left me feeling cold (and not because of the weather), I can only managed 2 badly designed stars for this outing to Cambodia.

So wanting a good Aussie film or new drama to start Risky Business on Nine is just vile!

Mid Week Musical Break Down

Now my reality bites review of Australian TV got some people upset and some may say I was a little negative.

Australian TV really has hit some low points and the Risky Business also helped that low point get even lower.

But now to some FAB positives and they are mainly music based.

We all remember "Crave You" and if you don't well, get ready for this:

Gosh I love Aussie dance music!

Now for a free download of the hottest MC this side of 2011:

GET into that shit now!

Now to Perth, listen, discover and also download for NIX!

The Temper Trap is back and the album doesn't land till Friday but this is single #3:

Remember Jungle from the Slap and the J's, here is new Emma Louise:

You okay to take a trip to Canada:

Now onto the latest look at True Blood series 5, holy fuck balls is all I can say:

Does Tara live or Die? What happens to Jason? What day is it? Who got finger banged in K-Mart?

Okay so now I have another film review to come and it's Australian, that should be landing tomorrow, I might drop by Kimbra @ the Enmore on Thursday.

Next week it's time to get Fat and see a Swan. Lol it's Fat Swan time ladies.

Also someone parties like it's 1999, yes tune in for some Prince next week.

@ the Movies 2012 - The Five-Year Engagement

This is a hard film to review, The Five-Year Engagement has good points and bad points and the first bad point is the running time.  It is way too long and some scenes are so drawn out it is less than funny.

Emily Blunt is a dream and I really love her.  Jason Segel is just not attractive and in this film he borders on creepy and homeless all in the same scenes.

All I can say also about the cast is poor Jacki Weaver just looks out of place and so do some of the other support cast.

This is no Bridesmaids or the Hangover, yes it has funny parts especially when the word vagina is used, gosh it's a funny word, why no one knows.

Why is this film so up and down, I think it all comes down to the run time and if the editing was tighter it might bring the laugh out loud moments closer together making it more of a comedy.  It is more of a comedy with the occasional Nurse Jackie style laugh.

Okay so time for a review and the score, 3 stars mainly for Emily Blunt.

Reality Bites on Aussie TV when there is a drought of good drama

Australian TV is at an all time low, anyone knows me knows I love Australian music, Australian film and even yes Australian TV series.  In the past we have had the amazing "Love My Way", "Tangle", "Satisfaction", selected "Underbelly" series and then even some trash with "Rescue Special Op's".  The sad thing is most of these are on pay TV.  And now commerical TV still thinks "Packed to the Rafters" speaks to regular Aussie I am a little unsure the commerical networks are thinking outside the box.

It is a little sad that this week a carbon copy of Packed to the Rafters is launched on Nine and among these two dramas we are jam packed full of, wait for it, reality TV.  TV which besides obtaining the rights for the said series the costs of these shows are so small and mean no new dramas are created.  Why if these shows are so cheap to make?  Because the cost to obtain the rights for the Voice are so outrageous and the judges (mainly the international ones) are paid a fortune!

So am I being a little silly about reality TV?  Well tonight let's take a peak at what's on.

Masterchef
The Block
The Voice

And Seven has decided not to battle it out and will in turn play a movie from the last decade.

So what else have we got on offer this week:

Dancing with the Stars series 470
The Shire Revealed - FUCK ME!
Australia's Got Pretty Much No More Talent to discover after 17 series of this show

And the main issue I have is Australia's got Talent and the Voice, similar concept and so overdone now and not well like the UK X Factor and can I hear a BRITNEY Spears!  Yes Britney has signed onto to be a judge of the US X Factor, hello Britney in place of Delta stop sucking Seal off in the ad breaks.

Good Grief!

Also these shows are not just on once a week, Masterchef and 7 O shot myself @ the Block is on every week night.  Thank god for the movies this week as I will avoid the abortion that is prime time TV.

Rant over, Channel Ten, Channel Seven & lastly poor old Channel Nine, wake the fuck up, produce some quality drama's or bring some decent HBO, Showtime or American cable shows over as your currently line up blows more than a gay pron star in a 14 jock group orgy.

Have a super day all and thanks for reading!

@ the Movies 2012 - Safe

 - Actual Film Released in Ireland in 2011

How can you get an action movie just right and not too super cheesy?  Talk to the people who made "Safe" it actually really worked.  Jason Statham is excellent as this down and out action superstar and he works well with the young and somewhat innocent Catherine Chan.

I enjoyed the way this film played out, it started well it ended well (well kinda cheesy but hey) and the fight scenes, the chaos scenes and the chases were ace.

You can't floor a film that doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't.

Safe is a formula piece but in 2012 (or 2011 when this was released in Ireland) beggars can't be choosers.  You want big action and shot em up's this film is so for you, it's kinda an Anti Mothers Day film also, so if your tried of roses and chocolates hit this shit up.

Safe rates 3 solid safe stars.

Today is brought to you by the letter G

GOOD Morning!

Today Garbage release their much anticipated album "Not Your Kind of People".  This is their fifth studio album and marks their return after six long years of Shirley Manson playing Terminator and no loud music from the group.

Today also marks the one week away mark from Gossip's new album "A Joyful Noise" which I am hoping is a damn sight better than the lead single "Perfect World", very soft indeed.

This however is a new song that surfaced and I don't half mind it:

Now back to the letter G, it also marks the end to another good Glee episode and with next week's double header on the way, I'm excited and here is a little preview below:

Yes so Glee is on the up, now will Garbage rise to the top again, neither single from the new album has killed it yet, but I have high hopes and I decided to get ya Friday on by reliving some of their classic moments as below, here is to the G

And now a new one:

GOOD Day!

Happy G Day!

A Strange Interlude Opening

After Every Breath, Strange Interlude could do no wrong, after missing Food Belvoir's 2012 season is a little off track.

This show however featured my all time favourite new comer Miss Emily Barclay and she was fantastic (as always).  I find her so refreshing and so amazing at everything, being an angst filled young 20 year old to a mother to a bad wife, she had it all in this role.

For Belvoir it had a massive cast but with this it had the most basic set I had seen in a while.  Toby Schmitz was annoying like he is in most things, he is a great actor but just way too cocky in every role regardless of who the character is.

I was happy with this show but I did drift off from time to time, it had a longer than usual running time with a massive interval as the opening night crowd including Washington, Susie Porter and the very scary Robyn Nevin all took forever to get to their seats.

Overall this play with satisfy most theatre needs, good cast, good story, no gun shots or suicides which makes a nice change for Belvoir and Emily Barclay is just wonderful on stage.

I give this a 3 star rating.

@ the Movies 2012 - The Lucky One

We all know Zac Efron has grown up, we all know that Zac Efron is one of the best looking men around, and this movies main focus is indeed that and the cheesy romance.

However there are some nights when you like a bit of old fashion romance.

The movie is sweet and some nice escapism, the movie is a little long but over just beautifully done.  The movie rolls well and the story is just so gosh damn simple to follow, but I was in love by the end and with some great support roles, Zac shines!

And look at the below who can't look at this for around 2 hours:

He looks so much better with facial hair and some body hair after those leaked images earlier on.

The Lucky One would probably appear to the females more than the straight males (the gay ones will have wet dreams for weeks on end) this film is lovely and an easy watch and thanks Erica @ the movies for giving me the $7.50 Student Monday's price, love ya guts!

The Lucky One rates 3 Tweeny Bopper Stars.

Weekend Stories

So I like my weekends and now as a lady of leisure I have a three day weekend every weekend, which rocks.

So Friday I had a ladies lunch, then did some fascinating research stuff with a department of the University of Sydney.  Saturday was another ladies lunch over @ Rozelle, the heart of the Inner West.  Saturday night was time for some Chat Thai in ThaiTown (yes the area around the Capital Theatre is called Thaitown - love it!) which was a little bit less than terrific like it usually is.

Dessert, we all need dessert on Saturday night so it was off to Mamak with a yummy Roti Pisang with ice cream (we all need ice cream on a cold Saturday night), so after dessert it was bed time before a BUMPER Sunday.

A bumper Sunday always starts with Yum Cha, oh yes it does and it has to be out West, cause it's cheap, it's awesome and it's mo fucking fresh as.  And a HUGE happy 30th to young Belinda!

We did Yum Cha and then it was onto some yummy Viet food and then off to some Comedy to finish the Sydney Comedy Festival.

I finally saw the great man Stephen K Amos live in person.  He started off damn awesome and really got the crowd in, once he had us he then delivered a fun evening of laughs, screams and some awesome stories.

Stephen K Amos, he came, he succeeded and he was a true pro @ comedy and made an extremely good weekend, just that lil bit better.

Oh how I wish I could see more comedy, oh wait I've got Ronny Chieng @ the end of the month, YAY! If your keen here you go grab the details below:

R.I.P. Adam Yauch

It's sad news I bring this morning, the founding member of the terrific hip hop crew the Beastie Boys has passed away.

The Beastie Boys have had an amazing career and Adam was also known for founding Oscilloscope Laboratories and as a Buddhist, he was involved in the Tibetan independence movement.

Being only 47 years old this is very sad news indeed for the music world.

The Beastie Boys have shaped the urban music world and here is a couple of hits to remember the great MCA!

R.I.P. MCA Thanks for my "Body Movin'" dance moves through the 90's.
