**COVID-Cinema 2020 with a difference, streaming from home on Netflix**
OK rounding off a weird cinema year, it's time to check in with another Netflix original film, Sweet River.
This time around though it has an Australiana flavour. Starring Blue Heelers (and Wentworth) favourite Martin Sacks.
Theatre legend (well from Billy Elliot - OG run) Geneviève Lemon also stars in this Child of the Corn style non thrilling not scary local horror film.
If you can tell I didn't love it you'd be right. Mix the TV show Glitch with every other horror film that is set next to a spooky looking crop and you get Sweet River.
This film did not feel original nor did it change my mind on Netflix original films. I still love going to the movies to watch movies, even if the movie is a little B or C grade.
It's been a rough year for Aussie films so here is hoping The Dry can start 2021 strong.
Sweet River isn't that sweet, 1.5 Stars.
