November/December TV Finales - The Walking Dead: World Beyond (Season One)

New TV post series. With a number of shows concluding over the next few weeks, it's time to reflect on a number of these shows. Filthy Rich and The Undoing conclude this week, whilst Amazon Prime's The Walking Dead: World Beyond just wrapped its first season.

Following on from The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, comes the third series in The Walking Dead world. 2020 feels a little like The Walking Dead at the best of times.

This series is set in Nebraska ten years after the zombie apocalypse. I read a few people online describe this as a CW version of The Walking Dead. With young annoying cast members.

The show is described as centring around four teenage protagonists and focuses on "the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad."

In Australia this is the one The Walking Dead series that actually airs on Amazon Prime. Here is a look at the trailer.

Here is a good full recap of the double final. I didn't really love this series, I was honestly ready to break up with The Walking Dead for good. Fear the Walking Dead season six was also a bit lame for the first seven episodes, but I feel the end is near so I am going to see it to the end.

This show unlike the parent show actually only has one more season to go. It's a two season and done kinda show.

Tomorrow I will look at the HBO miniseries The Undoing. I have finales lined up for days, so come back and check out what I have been viewing for the last little bit.

Of course the wonderful The Mandalorian concludes just before Christmas so that will come soon, the fun new The Flight Attendant also concludes soon and the new spinoff of Power comes to an end early in January 2021.

Until tomorrow...
