A Teacher is a miniseries created by Hannah Fidell based on her film of the same name. Leading the series are Kate Mara and Nick Robinson.

Mara has had some outstanding TV roles, from House of Cards to Pose and the first round of American Horror Story. Robinson had a big role in Love, Simon and now Love, Victor the spin off TV series, also on Hulu.
A Teacher starts of romantic (as romantic as a teacher in love with a younger student can be) to both lives being destroyed one way or another. Its full on but well done. The use of awesome pop songs throughout also breaks the tension.
The short episodes whiz by sometimes clocking in at 21 minutes some episodes. You find yourself at the end of episode ten in no time.
Kate Mara really is a talent to keep an eye on. If you can get access to this one. Give it a go. It sounds controversial, it is slightly but its also a well told tale of two people not only hurting themselves, but also those around them.
