November/December TV Finales - The Wilds

The Wilds came out a minute ago, but dang I smashed season one so easily. Ahead of me returning to the cinema tomorrow for some WW84, lets take a look at The Wilds on Prime Video, AKA Amazon Prime.

In Christmas gifts this holiday season, the series was renewed for a second season earlier this month, yay!

So now you have watched the trailer, here is the basic plot.

A group of teenage girls from different backgrounds consisting of Fatin Jadmani, Dot Campbell, Martha Blackburn, Rachel Reid, Shelby Goodkind, Nora Reid, Toni Shalifoe, and Leah Rilke are on an airplane when it crashes into the ocean while en route to Hawaii for the Dawn of Eve program, a young women's empowerment retreat. They survive the crash and find themselves stranded on a deserted island. As the girls worked to survive as castaways and learn secrets from each other, they are unaware that the plane crash was orchestrated by the head of Dawn of Eve program in Hawaii and are subjects of a social experiment.

Sound good? Well it is. Rachel Griffiths as Gretchen Klei is a highlight for me. Whilst not a major player on the island, she commands the screen every scene she is in. Plus can we talk about the number of C bombs in this series?

It's a lazy long weekend Sunday, what are you waiting for? Cobra Kai to launch slightly earlier on January 1st, 2021? Give this a go in the meantime, cannot wait for season two!
