Verdict - Stalker Finale/Series Completed

Well Dylan McDermott is definitely the kiss of death for his last two shows (first Hostages, now Stalker) however American Horror Story seems fine, maybe cause he only starred in two of the aired four seasons?

So Maggie Q and the team at Stalker are now on the US TV land unemployment couch. Lucky her and Dylan have a wedding (in real life) to plan. Yes joining the scrap pile of recent TV shows cancelled Stalker joins the massive list of shows that have been given there marching orders.

This show was extremely formulaic and written by the writer of Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Dawson's Creek, The Following and the list goes on for Kevin Williamson. At least he still has Vampire Diaries as the majority of his works are now done and dusted.

And for the finale of Stalker, man what a half baked unresolved dull episode. Did season 2 beckon? Well CSI has lasted for 40 years (well it feels like that long but not really and it is finally ending too) and these crime scene, crime per episode plague American TV, Hawaii Five-O, Elementary, NCIS and there spin offs plus joining the list now CSI Cyber.

So could Stalker have lasted? Well maybe and the ratings were horrible but the reviews were. I steamed through all 20 episodes of this one season wonder and really compared to the Messengers (on the CW) also facing the axe after one season, this is not the worst thing on US TV.

In a time when Comic Book series, spin offs and other crime shows fill the US schedules it's getting harder to breakthrough. Unless your on Netflix of course.

So Stalker it's dead and buried and on the one season scrap heap, oh well here is hopping Scream the TV series on MTV is amazing and keeping the scream theme, Ryan Murphy's Scream Queen's is also getting heaps of hype. So stayed tuned for more Verdict's, more TV news and many more film reviews as the US Summer Blockbusters just keep coming...
