That Movie Gay #2016 {Screening}

Where does one start with EDDIE THE EAGLE? (released in Australia April 21, US release date 26 February, UK 28 March)

At a screening this was introduced and numerous times presented as a feel good, smile ear to ear film, were they right? Hell yes.

Look I don't usually buy into all these terms:

heartwarming
smile from ear to ear
leave the cinema with a smile on you're dial

However all of those statements were true and not just from me, as I like to ears drop in public this is the only way to describe Hugh Jackman's latest film which doesn't suck.

And yes there is a little bit too much action, action, action these days so it's nice and refreshing to see a new drama that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

That said it's not perfect but really what film is? It ran a fairly tight runtime which is always good and I found myself loving the ending and loving the entire story.

Taron Egerton was excellent in Kingsman: The Secret Service and I look forward to him returning in the sequel. And again in this he was adorable, loveable and a little more chubby, also it looks like he has scored a gig on the upcoming Robin Hood origins film.

So Eddie the Eagle it's a feel good sports film based on true events, cute and it rates a solid 3.5 Stars.
