TV Wars - Round One

So in the USA TV has been brutal this year with key shows been cancelled or finished up, Gossip Girl will finish in weeks after it's sixth series and the CW also cancelled intriguing Revenge style RINGER which I just finished and loved until the rather lacklustre conclusion.

I am currently watching another one season wonder The Secret Circle which is like the Craft but in TV format.  Watch this space for my strong opinion.

The River was also an interesting cross between Paranormal Activity and Anacondas which also got cancelled over at the ABC.

So last night the BIG new Aussie shows started and surprise surprise many of them fall into the reality genre.

A show with Kelly Rowland, should always shine as she is excellent in these talent show type shows. She was the saving grace for the UK X Factor last year and I think next to Jason deBoredom she will shine again.

So how is the show? With the first viewing, good, I enjoyed the acts and thought it was a much better idea than So You Think You can create a sob story.  This was it no blind singing divas, no bad childhoods, just dancing, GOOD!  No offence the Voice but your sob stories were completely boring as bat shit.  Good on K-Mart for heavily discounting De Bono, Percival and Leahcar's albums.

Now DeRulo?  He is smoking hot, well in these pictures

He did however come across as bore and slightly disinterested especially when Boylesque were on LOL

So can Everybody Dance Now succeed with a sea of talent shows just rounding up and X Factor around the corner?  Time will tell and time will tell for TV Wars Round Two, it's Big Brother tonight on Channel Nine, and The Amazing Race Australia rounds up this week after three BIG nights, Underbelly is back also tonight and of course Q&A heats up again on the ABC.
