#COVID-19-BINGE-FEST - First Wives Club (Season 1)

First Wives Club based on the film of the same name got it's premiere late last year on the BET+ network. It stars Michelle Buteau, Jill Scott (yes legendary singer, Jill Scott!) and Ryan Michelle Bathe.

The show streams in Australia on Stan and is a very easy to watch thirty minute comedy/drama. Is that merged to be a dramady?

Oh well this replaces Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, and Bette Midler as three divorcées who seek revenge on their ex-husbands. In the remake it's not all about ex-husbands, more about girl power.

Jill Scott is excellent, I have always liked her music, so this for me was a no brainer to watch.



This show will not be everyone's cup of tea, but honestly it's a damn easy watch whilst being super light hearted and a tad inspiring during these uncertain times.

So if you are done with serious dramas or end of the world news events, First Wives Club could be for you. It's also been renewed nice and early for a second season.
