What I've Been Watching this Weekend

With so much new content coming out (for now) it's been a big weekend in for me, again.

There are so many season finales next week, so it was time to catch up with a number of shows about to have their swan song next week. I will give them all their own April/May Finales post as they conclude.

9-1-1 concludes it's hugely successful third season with a season one favourite returning. In the Arrowverse The Flash is set to conclude a few episodes early. Will we get a good send off for the sixth season? The show returns for a seventh season in due course.

How to Get Away with Murder has it's final ever episode next week. This week's second ever last episode ended with a bang, six seasons later the show has more than gotten away with murder. Shondaland's Grey's Anatomy companion series, Station 19 is also due concludes this week. Weird thing though, it finished filming whilst Grey's didn't. So some of the spin off plots are not going to make any sense for the two Seattle series.

Katy Keene will also say farewell to Thursday nights as the Riverdale spin off concludes it's first season. However unlike all other The CW shows, Keene has not yet been renewed. Will it? Well the ratings are fairly average. However if it's sold to a number of overseas countries this could help. In Australia (unlike Riverdale) it airs on Foxtel.

The Blacklist also never got to film it's finale, so they have tried something different. They have a half live action, half animation episode. Let's see how this works.

Also on the streaming platforms I have taken a look at episode one of Ryan Murphy's latest series, Hollywood. First impressions are good.

I am continuing Elite of a night time and was stoked Dead to Me returned for a second season. I am halfway through it already. I will post about it most likely next week.

So yeah I have caught up with a lot on the idiot box this weekend. Musically here are some of the biggest new releases. Not to mention Drake is back, so he was lucky enough to be my Sunday Spotlight. His new mixtape just went to number one in Australia.

Until next time.

Ciao
