#COVID-19-BINGE-FEST - Informer 3838

Informer 3838 is one of the few drama shows to be featured on the high flying Nine Network.

The two part mini series is a spin-off of the highly successful Underbelly franchise. This time focusing on criminal barrister-turned police informer Nicola Gobbo. Gobbo's code name back in the day was informer 3838.

Based in Melbourne, Gobbo was around for the Melbourne gangland killings. Joining Ella Scott Lynch as Nicola Gobbo, Gyton Grantley returns as Carl Williams and Robert Mammone as returns Tony Mokbel aka Fat Tony.

We also see Hollie Andrew replace Kat Stewart as Roberta Williams join Rhys Muldoon as Terrence Hodson, Wentworth's Jacquie Brennan as Christine Hodson and Stephen Peacocke as Paul Dale.




Keeping it short and sweet this time around, Informer 3838 does not out stay it's welcome. However episode two was a big improvement on episode one, with a fairly epic conclusion.

Being Underbelly there is loads of swearing, a bit of sex (not as much as the earlier series) and a bit of glorification of crims.

Apparently there is another Nicola Gobbo/Lawyer X drama on the way. No doubt there is loads to unpack from Gobbo's career and maybe future.
